Whoo's Having a Birthday?

Hi Everyone!

I hope you are enjoying your day. After a real rainy day yesterday, I am enjoying a beautiful sunny and Fall - like day today! Fall is my favorite time of year but it just doesn't last long enough! My favorite colors are the beautiful warm fall colors of rust, brown, green and gold.  I want to show you a card I made recently that is great for someone whooo has a Fall birthday. I just love this cute Owlettes stamp set from Sparkle N Sprinkle! There are so many cute ways to use it. I brushed Brushable glue over the owl and added Cloud Nine velvet glitter and let it dry. I then colored the owl using copics. I hope this little owl has put a smile on your face.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Falling Leaves

Hi Everyone! If you have been following my blog this week you have seen that I have been on a Fall streak lately. Here is another card that I made using some new "toys" that I bought at a stamp convention this past weekend. I used Distress stains on the cut out leaves, Distress markers on the houses and Diamond Glaze on the windows.

Here is a close up of the windows. You can see some shine on the three windows at the bottom.

Thanks for stopping by again. I hope you have a great day!

Hi Everyone! Thanks for stopping by my blog today. We are having another Fall - like day after a very hot day yesterday. I want to show you another Fall card I made. This image of House Mouse is originally holding a heart with its feet, but I have him holding a pumpkin for Fall. Isn't he cute?

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Chirpy Fall

Hi Everyone! I hope your weekend has been a good one. We have had a hint of Fall this weekend and I am loving it! I want to show you a Fall card I made using a new Just For Fun stamp I got at the stamp convention this weekend! I love this stamptangle bird. I patted different Fall colors of Distress inks randomly over the bird and then stamped it. I love the way it turned out. Using a die, I cut the leaves from card stock that I stained with Distress stains. I then tapped Versa Mark ink over the leaves, added clear embossing powder, sprinkled a little Autumn Medley glitter  from Sparkle N Sprinkle over the powder and heated from the bottom. I did this twice to make the leaves shiny and sparkly. I want to enter this card into Joan's Gardens, Simon Says Stamp and Rubber Buggy challenges. You can see the challenges below.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I appreciate it! I hope you have a great day!

Go Fore It !

Hi Everyone! A good Friday to you. Tonight I am going to the Scrap Stamp Tour being held here in our city. I am looking forward to a good time and some new inspiration! I want to share an easel card I made yesterday with a new Golf  stamp set from Sparkle N Sprinkle. This set is perfect for those golfers in the family: I have three! For the grass on this card I used the 2 1/2" Tear-ific Tape, cut it in the shape of a green and adhered it to the bottom of my card. I then peeled off the top layer of the tape and sprinkled Glistening Emeralds Sparkle N Soft over it. For the clouds I traced a template, cut them out, brushed Brushable Glue over them and added Twinkling Clouds Sparkle N Soft.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by. I hope you have a wonderful and blessed day!

Technique Tuesday -- White Wash

Hi Everyone! Welcome again to Sparkle N Sprinkle's Technique Tuesday. Thanks for all of you who joined in the Hoot of a Prize Contest. It was a lot of fun and congratulations to Karen who won! Today I will be showing a technique called White Wash. It really looks good on kraft card stock.

Supplies needed:
  1. kraft card stock
  2. Belgian Cream embossing powder  EP436
  3. Blossoms stamp set 429
  4. Distress inks
  5. water brush
  6. white ink stain
  7. heat tool
  8. Versa Mark ink pad
  9. craft sheet
Stamp blossoms randomly on kraft card stock using Versa Mark ink.

Add embossing powder and heat set.

Take white ink stain and pat on a craft sheet. Use a water brush to paint in the blossoms. Let dry.

Swipe Distress ink colors on craft sheet, pick up color with water brush and paint over the white flowers.

Now you have color to show up on the kraft card stock. I hope you have fun playing with this technique this month. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great day!

12 Tags of 2013 -- Septemeber

Hi Everyone and welcome to my blog! I hope you are enjoying your weekend. I want to show you the tag I made for Tim Holtz's September tag challenge. I had fun using all the stencils and layering. On the dots stencil I used translucent paste and glammed it up by adding Sparkling Snow glitter, courtesy of Sparkle N Sprinkle. I used Distress inks and white acrylic paint with the other stencils. The background was made by using Distress stains. The stamps used are Tim Holtz (numbers) and Fiskars (cupcake). You can see Tim's demo by clicking here.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a great day!

House Mouse Transported

Hi Everyone!

I hope you are having a good day. I am finally back after having some computer issues. I would like to share with you a card I made for a few challenges. At Two Peas in a Bucket there is a challenge going on to use embossing folders in different ways. For the background of this card I used three different embossing folders and arranged them around the patterned paper. I then ran all of this through my cuttlebug at one time. Next I swiped a brown ink pad across the raised areas to define the designs. I just love using the House Mouse stamps. Isn't this little mousy cute on his flower boat?
