Sparkling Snow glitter G1003 was used around the edges and on the scene.

Magic Speckle Technique

Hi Everyone! I hope you are having a good day. I want to show you a technique using this fabulous Magic Speckle embossing powder from Sparkle N Sprinkle! I just love the shimmery look it gives. I know you will love using it too.

First I cut out my frame and patted it with Versa mark ink. Then I sprinkled the Magic Speckle embossing powder randomly over the frame and heat set it. I did not want to completely cover the frame because I wanted a patina look.

This is pretty just by itself. But like I said I was aiming for a patina look.  So I patted the frame again with Versa Mark ink and randomly added embossing powders and kept repeating the first step until I had the look I wanted. The Magic Speckle embossing powder adds such a nice look with the other powders.

I also used a little of the Magic Speckle embossing powder on my swirls to give them some shimmer and texture.

On the butterfly I just used the Magic Speckle over the whole image. What a beautiful, pearly effect it gave!

I also experimented with using the Magic Speckle embossing powder on patterned paper and I just love how it looks too.

There are so many ways to use this amazing embossing powder. I hope you have fun experimenting on your own. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great day!

Snow Much Fun

Hi Everyone!  Do you have your Christmas cards almost finished? LOL!  I am happy to say mine are done. Now to get them addressed and sent! Here is a cute snowman from the Sparkle N Sprinkle  Snow One Like You stamp set 515 . He looks like he is having fun out there in the snow. The night "sky" is a piece of Shimmer Sheetz behind the window. The light reflection on it looks like the aurora borealis. The swirls on the card are from the Flourishes Two set 520. I used the newDiamond Dusglitter G1116 on the swirls, window and snowbank. Doesn't it sparkle beautifully? What gorgeous glitter to use on winter cards! For full instructions on my card, please click here. Thank you for taking the time to stop by. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas season.

Christmas Fun

Hi Everyone! I hope you are having a good day. I want to share a card I made for the Basic Grey and House Mouse challenges. I just love this House Mouse stamp. I purchased this stamp when my boys were snowboarding a lot. They always had a great time on them. It was fun watching them doing flips and tricks and flying down the mountain! I miss those days now that they are grown and we don't go as a family anymore. I am getting too old to ski since I have not been in many years. I am afraid I might break a bone now! LOL!

I used Basic Grey papers from the Basics, Out of Print and Green at Heart packs. White Liquid Applique was used for the snow and then I added Stickles glitter to make the "snow" sparkle.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Holiday Wishes

Hi Everyone and welcome to my blog. I know you are gearing up for Christmas. I hope you will take some time to relax and enjoy the many wonders of this blessed season.

Here is a tag I made for Tim Holt's 12 Tags of 2013 ( Dec.) challenge. I love the frosted film that he used. You can see Tim's demo here. I do not have any of frosted film, but it is certainly on my wish list! I made a version of this of my own. .

I laid acetate on top of a Super Adhesive sheet from Sparkle N Sprinkle that had one side peeled off. I then cut out the flower shapes using the Tattered Flowers sizzix die. Transparent Sparkle glitter form Sparkle N Sprinkle was used on the back side after the protective sheet was removed. This gave the acetate a frosted look. I then sponged on permanent ink colors to the front of the flowers and leaves.

I used a stipple brush to pounce Versa Mark ink over the flower and tag and then added Sparkle N Sprinkle Belgian Cream embossing powder over it to look like snow.

On the swirl I used the new Green Marbled Christmas embossing powder also from Sparkle N Sprinkle.

Once again, thanks for stopping by. I hope your day is great!

I stamped the flourishes onto patterned paper using Versa Mark ink and added Brown Fizz embossing powder EP381. The Brown Fizz embossing powder was also used around the edges of the card.

Recycle Challenge

Hi Everyone! I hope you have been enjoying your weekend. It has been rainy this afternoon -- a good day for crafting. I made this card for a recycle challenge at Club Posh. We were to use saved wrapping paper. I used some Christmas tissue paper that came in a gift bag. I placed the tissue paper on Sticker Paper from Sparkle N Sprinkle and used the beautiful Spellbinders Gold Majesty Circle die to cut the frame. I stamped my favorite Cardinal image from Inkadinkado. Thank you for stopping by. Have a great day!

This is the tissue paper I started with.

Here is the end result!

Black and White Christmas

Hi Everyone! I hope you are having a good day. It is gray outside here, but not that cold. I just got back from a nice walk. You do not often see a black and white Christmas card, but I must say that is rather striking. At Joan's Gardens this week the challenge is to use black and white, Christmas and frame.

The frame is a Spellbinders die -- Decorative Labels 8. The leaves is a Memory Box die -- Fresh Foliage. I used an embossing folder with a frame on the black card stock and used Belgian Cream embossing powder from Sparkle N Sprinkle on the image.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Bountiful Blessings

Hi Everyone! I hope you are enjoying your day. It has turned quite cold here. I guess it is about time! I want to share the tag I made for Tim Holtz's tag challenge for November. November is the time to count our blessings and we sure have plenty to be thankful for. Can you believe Thanksgiving is almost here?

Tim shared a chalkboard technique that has a little twist to the normal chalkboard technique. You can see it by clicking here.

I used the Sparkle N Sprinkle Pumpkin Stack and saying from the Fall Harvest set. The leaves are from Inkadinkado and the script stamp is a Hero Arts stamp.

The leaf at the top of the tag was made by heating copper mesh with a heat gun. The mesh turns beautiful colors. Then I adhered an outline leaf sticker to the mesh and cut it out. You can see a better picture of it here.  See the pretty colors the copper turns?

I pop dotted the bottom pumpkin on the pumpkin stack as well as the label with the saying. To color the label and tag edge, I swiped Distress Inks on my craft sheet, spritzed them with water and placed the tag and label in the inks and rubbed them around. I always love the blended look of this technique.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by! I hope you have a wonderful and blessed day!

Give Thanks

Thanksgiving is almost here. Can you believe it?  I would like to share a Thanksgiving card I made using the pumpkin from the Sparkle N Sprinkle  Fall Harvest stamp set 474.  For the background of my card I used patterned paper, outlined parts of the swirls using the Sakura glue pen and sprinkled on Goldenrod velvet glitter GM2006. I inked up some die cut leaves and added Goldenrod velvet glitter to them also and placed them behind the pumpkin along with the die cut swirls.

Here is a more detailed look.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!
