Planting Season

Hi Everyone! It is a beautiful day here. I made this card with Impression Obsession stamps (listed below) that remind me that I need to go buy plants for my pots real soon! My pansies are still looking great, but I know they won't last too long as it heats up here. This is also a Mother's Day card for my MIL. For many years we would go to her house on Mother's Day and help her plant flowers in her big flower box on the patio and by the side of her house. She is now in the hospital and will be going to a nursing home soon. We will have good memories of all the beautiful flowers that were blooming at her house each year.

I went outside my box and made this card using a large die to create a different shape.  I fussy cut the flowers, added Flower Soft to the leaves, added glitter to the flowers and pop dotted one of the flower bunches over the others. The background was made by using two large background stamps, paisley and crackle, than stamping the large flourish in the corner. The butterfly is from Cheery Lynn.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Friends Are Family

Hi Everyone!  I hope you are enjoying your day. I want to share a friendship card I made with the cute Ellie the Elephant stamp set 553 from Sparkle N Sprinkle. I love the saying "friends are the family we choose". God has blessed me with such a wonderful friend family! I cherish each and every one of you! It seems like I have been doing a lot of paper piecing lately, but I love the look of it, so Ellie is polka dotted this time!

I cut strips of patterned paper and left some gaps between to add Gypsy Red glitter GM2005 to the background.Sparkling Snow glitter G1003 was used on Ellie's polka dots and Bubblegum glitter G1088 was used on the mouse.

Spring Has Sprung

Hi Everyone! I hope you are having a good day. Well, Spring has sprung here in our area. The trees and azaleas are beautiful! I want to share a tag I made for Tim Holtz's tag challenge for the month of April. I had fun using the lattice cut from tag board. I used a brand new mixed media embossing powder from Sparkle N Sprinkle called Copper Flame and added in some Sparkle N Sprinkle Candlelight and Cerulean Star embossing powder with it. I love how the lattice turned out. Here is a close up of it. I love the shimmer and shine.

I also used some washi tape with birds on a wire that I recently received from a good friend of mine. She knows I love birds. Thank you so much, Kim! It went perfectly with this tag. Speaking of birds, I used my favorite bird stamp. He looks so chirpy for Spring!

To see Tim's demo, please click here. I always enjoy working with his fun techniques. Here is my completed tag with my handmade flowers.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you have a great day!
Happy Spring!

Friends

Hi Everyone!  I hope you are having a good day.  I just love the new Sparkle N Sprinkle stamp set Ellie the Elephant 553. She is the cutest thing! I had so much fun making my card. Don't you love her little mouse friend too?

I love using the 6 x 6 paper pads that have coordinated papers, so I grabbed one of mine and cut the windows using graduated sizes of the same die from a few of the papers. I pop dotted one on top of the other.  Sparkle embossing powder EP107  was used on the top yellow layer.

I used Purple Potion velvet glitter Gm2001 on Ellie's toenails, mouth and around the flowers.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have fun making your own projects with this cute set!
Have a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday

Hi Everyone! Who doesn't like birthday's? I just celebrated mine with wonderful friends. It is always fun to share your special day with others. I have made a birthday card using the Penny Black Critter Party stamp set. These are such cute images. I used one of my 6 x 6 pads of paper that had plaids and stripes in it. I thought is was perfect for a fun birthday card. I used Spellbinders Labels 9 dies for the image and border around it and a Spellbinders border from the Butterfly die. Bubblegum glitter from Sparkle N Sprinkle was used on the rose. My Tip for Top Tip Tuesday is this: Layering adds a lot of interest to a card. I certainly did a lot of layering on this one!

Here is the inside of the card.  At Simon Says Stamp they are celebrating their 5th birthday! I hope you all will have many more years to come.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful and blessed day!
