Flower Garden

Hi Everyone! Welcome to my blog. I hope you are enjoying your day. I made a card with a stamp that I have not used in awhile. It is the Colonial Spring stamp from Impression Obsession K1006. I stamped it on glossy card stock using Jet Black Staz On ink. Then I used Rub On's to color the scene.  I added yellow and red flower soft to the flowers. Part of the Cheery Lynn Lattice Valance Border die was used at the bottom of the card. I used Blackened Bronze embossing powder from Sparkle N Sprinkle to make it look like an iron gate.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Love Is In The Air

Hi Everyone! Valentine's Day will be here soon so I thought I had better get started. Here is one I made using Penny Black's hedgehog from the Wonderful Day stamp set. I pulled out my K&Co. heart paper pad and used several patterned papers on my card.

I used the Spellbinders Large Beaded Oval die and used it as an inlay. I stamped the image and cut it out using one of the Gina Marie Stitched oval dies.

Thanks a bunch for stopping by. Have a great day!

Altered Dies #2

Hi Everyone and welcome to altered dies #2. I have altered 2 dies today to make a sleigh. It looks like a lot of us might need a sleigh this week! LOL!

I started with Spellbinders Labels 8 and cut it out using red card stock.

I then used scissors to cut the label in half. This is the body of the sleigh.

I took the Spellbinders Floral Flourish die and cut 2 from silver card stock.

Next I cut off the left swirl on each one to make the runners. I also cut a small strip from the silver card stock to attach to the runners. Here is the finished sleigh!

Here is a close up of the card that shows the sparkle of the glitter. I used Starfire glitter from Sparkle N Sprinkle. White Applique was used on Woofie's hat and some of the snow.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed how I altered the dies. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Ombre

Hi and welcome to my blog. I am happy you stopped by today. I want to show you a card I made using the ombre technique. This was new to me but easy to do. Ombre means graduated color. I sponged darker blue to lighter blue colors on glossy card stock starting with the darker color at the top. I used an old stamp I had from Our Daily Bread to stamp over the colors. I used a newly purchased die from Spellbinders called Vintage Flourish Pattern for my music notes. I faux stitched around the die and the card.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a fantastic day!

Tower Card

Hi Everyone! I hope you are having a good day. I am always looking for new and different cards to make. I stumbled across this tower card on Split Coast Stampers. This was a fun card with new folds to me. It is a great way to display a card. You can view the instructions here. I used two dies on the front -- Spellbinders Raindrops On Roses die they made for Heartfelt Creations and Quick Kutz Scallop die.

Here is the picture of the back of the card.

I hope you have as much fun as I did making this card. Have a great day!

Enjoy The Journey

Hi Everyone! Happy New Year! I trust you will enjoy the journey of 2016. Here is a New Year tag I made inspired by Tim Holtz's January tag for 2016. You can see his demo here. He combined two previous techniques on his tag. For my chalkboard technique I used white embossing powder and lightly brushed white chalk over the images.

For the industrial technique I used Staz On jet Black ink since I did not have any black paint. It worked well!

Thanks for stopping by. I hope 2016 is your best year yet!

Altered Dies #1

Hi Everyone! I hope you are having a good day! This is the first of the series I will be doing on altered dies. I will be be doing this series on the first and third Thursdays of each month. I hope you will be inspired by my project today. I have been going through my dies and seeing NEW ways I can use them. I used three different dies and altered them on this card.

I started with my NEW Sizzix Tea Time die and the Cheery Lynn Lattice die shown here.

Next I cut the lattice using the Tea Time die for it to look like this.

I patted Versa Mark ink over the lattice shape, sprinkled on Sparkle embossing powder from Sparkle N Sprinkle and heat set it. I then cut off the handle on the teacup and adhered the lattice shape over the cup for it to look like snow blocks of an igloo and then I cut an opening for a door.

I also added White Liquid Applique and Sparkle N Sprinkle Waterscape glitter to the bottom for "snow."

Next I used this Spellbinders Bracket Border die for my snow banks. I cut three of these, turned them upside down and glued them together.

The saying on the card is from Sparkle N Sprinkle and the penguin is a Fiskars stamp.

I hope this has inspired you to look at your dies differently. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!
