Happy Independence Day!

Hi Everyone! Happy Independence Day! This weekend we will be celebrating our country's independence. Among all the fun activities let us remember to thank those who have fought for our freedom and remember those who have paid the ultimate price with their lives. We live in a great country and may we pray that it will stay that way. God bless America!

I found this star svg and thought I would use it to make a patriotic card. The star is backed with white card stock that was embossed with Sparkle embossing powder by Sparkle N Sprinkle. I added the free standing stars by cutting thin strips of acetate and gluing star confetti to them. I also added some curled streamers using wrapping paper ribbon. The white background was made by using a chevron embossing folder.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful and safe 4th!

Birthday With Friends

Hi and welcome to my blog. What can be better than celebrating a birthday with friends? My stamping friends and I celebrate our birthdays at a favorite scrapbook store where we spend the day stamping, chatting and eating cake! It is always a fun day. We just celebrated a birthday the first of this month and we are ready to celebrate again in July. I want to show you the birthday tag I made with these cute House Mouse friends. I just bought the stamp and numbers dies today!

I followed Tim Holtz's techniques for his June tag. I sponged a tag with Distress inks. I then took out some white tissue paper and stamped the music and birthday on it. I covered another tag with white school glue and adhered the stamped tissue paper on the tag and smooshed it around a little to make wrinkles. When this dried, I used Tim Holtz's numbers dies on the tag. I adhered this tag over my background tag for the colors to show through the numbers. The image was stamped, colored with Spectrum Noir markers, fussy cut and pop dotted to the tag. The ribbon was colored using Distress inks. I also added stickles glitter to the cupcake.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you are having a wonderful day!

Altered Dies #12

Hi Everyone! I have another altered die card to share with you today. This one is a wild card for a boy's birthday as you will see! The background was made by using dot resist watercolor paper and adding blue Color Burst. I added confetti stars for embellishments. The "cute" little monster was stamped, colored with Spectrum Noir markers and fussy cut.

Here is the inside of the card. I cut a strip of orange card stock and added numbers washi tape over it. I also added some confetti stars under the sentiment.

I used the saucer and tea bag from the Tea Time dies by Tim Holtz. I turned the saucer over and attached the tea bag to the top for it to look like a flying saucer! I punched circles on the saucer for windows.

This was a fun card to make. I hope you enjoyed how I altered the saucer and tea bag to make my UFO! Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

A Summer Day

Hi Everyone! I want to share a card I made using stamps from Art Impressions. I love their scene stamps. I made this scene on a tri fold card. The flower bucket is pop dotted on the front of the card.

This is what the card looks like when the first flap is opened. I added the fence Impression Obsession die to the foreground.

This is the inside of the card. The butterflies are from Tim Holtz's Butterfly Frenzy die. I used Pierced dies from Gina Marie for the saying.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Altered Dies #11

Welcome to my blog and to another altered die card! On this card I used an altered die to make a princess carriage.

I started with Spellbinders Raindrops on Roses die designed for Heartfelt Creations. This is the body of the carriage.

I stamped and colored my Butterfly Princess image and cut it out using a Spellbinders small oval die. This is the cabin that the princess sits in.

I used Sparkle embossing powder from Sparkle N Sprinkle on the princess' wings. I used pink sparkle embossing powder and Diamond Dust loose glitter around the carriage for fairy dust!

I hope you enjoyed seeing this altered die card. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
