Silhouettes Challenge

Hi and welcome to my blog! Just For Fun is having a new challenge this month and the theme is silhouettes. Just For Fun has many silhouette stamps to choose from. I chose to use the Couple at the River's Edge stamp on my card since Valentine's Day will be here soon.

I stamped the image onto white card stock and used the saying from the Sentiments 1 unmounted sheet. I added punched hearts to the trees and a ribbon at the bottom.

Don't forget to join in the challenge and you might win a gift certificate to the store! Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

Hello Friend

Hi and welcome to my blog. I hope you are having a good day. I made a winter card using the Large Cardinal stamp from Just For Fun Stamps. I have had a cardinal couple in my backyard for many years and I loved seeing them at my feeder. I am sad because I have not seen them for awhile. I hope they did not fly somewhere else. I saw a hawk flying around a few weeks ago and I am afraid he scared them off or worse! Hopefully I will see some more cardinals soon.

I also stamped the Just For Fun Large Pine Bough stamp twice onto white card stock. I colored and fussy cut them, then snipped around the edges with my scissor to fluff them up. I also added white Liquid Applique on them for "snow." I used a background die that someone gave me and added clear Stickles glitter on each star. I cut words using dies cut from kraft card stock and outlined them with a black sharpie marker.

Don't forget that we have a challenge going on. Please join in and you might even win a gift certificate to the store!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great day!

Make A Wish

Hi and welcome to my blog. I want to show you a birthday card I made using a Penny Black stamp from the Critter Party stamp set. I had fun making this card from bits and pieces in my stash.

I colored the image using Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. The purple frame is an svg. I stamped the image and cut it out with the Gina Marie Stitched Oval die. I added a punched border to either side of the card and used several layers of colored card stock to go with the patterned paper. Stickles Glitter was added to the candle flame and to the cupcake.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Shabby Chic #2

Hi and welcome to my blog. I hope the New Year has started off well for you. Here is my second shabby chic card in my series. I have had the snowflake die from Alina Craft for awhile and this is the first time I used it. I cut it from white glitter card stock. It was placed behind the image that I stamped and cut out using the Spellbinders Small Oval die. I edged the die using silver embossing powder. To finish off the image I added clear Stickles glitter in several areas. I found the tag in my stash and also edged it with silver embossing powder. The patterned paper also came from my stash of scraps.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you have a blessed New Year!

A Winter Hello

Hi! I hope you are keeping warm. We are supposed to get a little snow by tomorrow morning! This little mousey is keeping warm by climbing into his coffee cup!

I made the frame for this image by using Martha Stewart's corner and border punches. I colored the image using a watercolor crayon and a few Distress inks to make a watercolor look. Punched snowflakes were added and I added clear stickles glitter to them. You can see it better in the picture below. I also applied the glitter to different dots on the patterned paper and image.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Stay warm and have a great day!

Winter Thanks

Hi! I hope you are having a good day. Here is a thank you card I made using the Stamptangle Stacked Tea Cups from Just For Fun. I love these stamptangle stamps because there are so many ways to color and use them. I colored this image using Zig watercolor markers. You may need to have some thank you cards ready for those Christmas gifts you received so I hope I can give you some inspiration.

I cut out the image using a Spellbinders Oval die and adhered it to swirl patterned paper. This was matted on orange card stock and then to the white card base. I used a punch for the border at the side. The saying on the tag is from the Sentiments 1 unmounted sheet. I also added white Liquid Applique on the mugs and on the steam and then applied clear stickles glitter over it.

We also have a challenge going on at Just For Fun. We would love to have you join in and you might even win a gift certificate to the store!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

Shabby Chic #1

Hi Everyone! Happy New Year! One of my crafting goals this year is to make more shabby chic cards. I love this look and I hope to get better at it as time goes on AND that only comes with practice! I also plan on using up a lot of my scraps, so these will be scrap cards as well. On the second and fourth Tuesday of each month I plan on posting a shabby chic card I have made. Here is my first one!

I found the bird image in my stash, colored it with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and cut it out using the Spellbinder Small Circle die. I sponged the edges with brown ink. I used a new stencil a secret Santa sent me and applied clear sparkle embossing paste in the left corner. The trees are Sizzix dies left over from making some Christmas cards. I found the pine cone in my stash and added it to the bow. I punched the greenery using a Tim Holtz punch. The edges of the strip of patterned paper was roughed up by using the Tim Holtz distress tool.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Haved a wonderful New Year!

Make a Wish!

Hi and welcome to my blog. I have made a card for several challenges using this cute House Mouse stamp, a fun layout, glitter paper and clear stickles. I used a numbers embossing folder for the background and the Gina Marie Stitched oval die to cut out the image.

I hope you are having a good start to the new year! I think most of us are very cold right now. Even here in South Carolina we have been having frigid temperatures for quite awhile. I hope you stay warm and cozy. Have a great day!
