He Has Risen!

Hi Everyone! Happy Easter! Well, this is also April Fool's Day and my birthday all rolled into one! I want to show you an Easter card I made using Just For Fun stamps. Just For Fun also has a new challenge for this month with the theme - flowers. We hope that you will join us this month to have a chance to win a gift certificate to the store. Just For Fun has many lovely flower stamps to choose from. You can see them all here.

On my card I used the Just For Fun Easter Cross stamp. I stamped the image and cut out more of the flowers to add on top and the side of the cross. They were colored using Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. Everything was fussy cut and adhered to the Spellbinders Vintage Flourish Pattern die. Gold Liquid Pearls was used for the center of the flowers. I used lavender ribbon to wrap around the cross. I stamped the saying and cut it out with decorative scissors.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a blessed Easter!

Shabby Chic #6

Hi and welcome to my blog! The Easter season is upon us! I want to show you a shabby chic Easter card I made with a beautiful stamp from Paper Inspirations. I bought this stamp a few years ago from a store that sold all kinds of things. She had a small display with wooden stamps. When I saw this stamp I just had to have it! The frame around the stamp is Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangle. I added the die at the top from Yvonne Creations called Flower Swing. The butterfly is by Cheery Lynn Designs. I found some small felt doilies in my stash, cut one in half and added them behind the first layer.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a blessed Easter!

Sweet Easter Bunnies

Hi Everyone! Easter is right around the corner. I want to show you an Easter card I made using these sweet Love U Bunnies by Just For Fun Stamps. Aren't they the cutest?

I used several dies on this card. The pink background die is called Vintage Flourish by Spellbinders. I used the Filagree Egg die from Memory Box and cut from various patterned papers to look like dyed Easter eggs. The bunnies were stamped and colored using Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. The saying is from the Sentiments 1 unmounted sheet.

I would love for you join the Just For Fun challenge. The theme is to use dies. You will be eligible to win a gift certificate to the store!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a Happy Easter!

Shabby Chic #5

Hi! I hope you are having a good day. It feels like Winter here today. I am looking forward to warmer Spring weather this weekend, so I made a Spring card in anticipation of it! I am back with another shabby chic card and once again I used a shaped card created by an svg cut. When looking through my stash I also found some tags from K&CO. that were the exact shape as my card, so I used the tag for the center of the card. I framed the saying from Sparkle N Sprinkle with a small die cut from my stash. The butterflies ( Sparkle N Sprinkle) were stamped on acetate, colored with alcohol inks, fussy cut and heated with a heat tool to bend the wings. The topper die is from the Spellbinders Butterfly die set. I stamped a Hero Arts script stamp, using light blue ink, across the base of the card and sponged the card with Distress ink.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday

Hi and welcome to my blog. Male cards are hard for me to make sometimes, but today I have made a male birthday card using the Just For Fun '57 Chevy stamp. Everytime I use this stamp I think of my dad's '56 Chevy he had for 18 years! As a girl we used to travel in this car from Texas to North Carolina every summer to see my grandparents. I have fond memories of that chevy!

I went along with the Just For Fun challenge theme for this month which is to use dies. I used Tim Holtz's Alterations die as a background. I stamped the car on the same light blue card stock as the background, fussy cut it and used a silver paint pen for the "chrome" on the car. The saying is from the Sentiments 1 unmounted sheet.

I hope you will join our challenge this month. We love to see your creations. You might even win a gift certificate to the store! Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!
