Patterned Paper Series #2

Welcome back to my patterned paper series! Valentine's Day will be here soon. Have you started on your cards yet? I hope this card will inspire you to use those patterned paper scraps that we all seem to have lying around. Today I have used strips of different patterned papers to fill in a heart die.

I glued strips of patterned paper behind the Nellie Snellen heart die. I stamped the Inkadinkado cat, fussy cut him and added him over the heart. The cat paws are stickers. The saying is from Just For Fun Stamps.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Love Is In The Air!

Hello and welcome to my blog! I want to show you a Valentine card I made. I can't believe that Valentine's Day will be here soon!  At Just For Fun they have so many wonderful stamps to use for this special day. You can see them here.

I used one of the Postal Hearts on this card. I embossed it using black embossing powder, colored it using alcohol markers and fussy cut it to fit over the heart embossed Spellbinder die. I added a punched border, ribbon, cord and silver enamel dots for embellishment.

You still have time to join in the challenge this month. The theme is to use blue and silver. We hope to see you there!

Have a great day!

Party Time

Hi and welcome to my blog! I want to show you a birthday card I made using this cute image from Penny Black's Critter Party stamp set and a new Tim Holtz die from Sizzix.

I stamped and colored the image using alcohol markers. The image was cut out using Gina Marie's Stitched Oval die and pop dotted to the card. I used clear glitter embossing powder on the circles on the patterned paper and on the cupcake and flame.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a great day!

Patterned Paper Series #1

Happy New Year everyone! I hope that the new year will hold many blessings for you.

For the past few years I have had a running series on my blog. Last year was shabby chic. I have tons of paper scraps as I know most of us do! I will never use up all the pieces, but I am hoping I can make a little dent in my stash with this patterned paper series this year. I hope to find different ways to use patterned papers on my cards.

Today I made a card with snowflake dies using three different blue patterned papers from my stash. The dies I used are the Build A Snowflake 5 dies from Spellbinders.

I stamped the cute penguin from Inkadinkado, colored him with alcohol markers, fussy cut him and pop dotted him to the card. I used a swirl stamp behind the sled to show motion and added glitter over it. Rhinestones were added to the centers of some of the snowflakes.

Thanks so much for stoppng by. I will be posting my patterned paper ideas every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month!

Have a great day!

Wish Big!

Hi and welcome to my blog . I want to show you a winter birthday card that will be great for the guys!

I made the background by dropping a few drops of white and green acrylic paint onto some blue card stock. I then laid another piece of blue card stock over the first one, pulled them apart and I got the look of mountains! I stamped the Just For Fun Polar Bear Sketch stamp, added white sparkle flocking, fussy cut him and adhered him to the card. Lastly I stamped Wish Big on the background. The saying is from the Sentiments 1 unmounted sheet.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope that you will join in our challenge here. We would love to see your wonderful creations! The theme for the challenge is to use blue and silver.

Have a wonderful day!

Sweet Birthday Wishes

Hi and welcome to my blog. I am forever needing birthday cards so I want to show you one that I made today. Ice cream is my very favorite dessert, even in the winter! I used an ice cream sundea stamp from Sparkle N Sprinkle on this card.

I used four different patterned papers from an American Crafts paper pad. The doily was cut using the Cheery Lynn Italian Flourish Doily die. I stamped and colored the image using alcohol and Tombow markers. White Liquid Applique was used on the "whipped cream" and glitter was added for sparkle. Diamond Glaze was used on the "glass" dish.

Here is a close up to see the shine better.

The image was fussy cut and pop dotted to the card. A saying from Hero Arts was stamped at the top.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a fabulous day!
