Bio.

I have been drawing since a child and studied graphics at College many years ago, I now work as a Medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4yrs ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but I’m afraid I got the bug! My daughter preferred scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with like minded people.

I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not find what I wanted so I started to draw myself. This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back, I love thinking of new images, and its just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful works of art. Long may it continue!

Punches Series #16

Welcome to my blog. Today I am showing another card using punches. In July I went to the Stamp and Scrapbook Expo and I bought this beach hut stamp that came in a set. Here at the end of August many people take off to the beach for one last vacation before school starts. I would love to be at the beach right now! I stamped the image on a background in my stash where I had inked up a paper towel and spritzed it with water. I then pressed my card stock on it to get a textured look. The hut was colored using Oxide inks. The frame and starfish are punches.

I always love shaped cards and I do not make them enough! I used one of the new release stamps on my card today. You can see all the new House Mouse stamps here. I stamped the image onto some patterned paper and colored the image with alcohol markers. I added little flower sequins to the tree limbs. Liquid Pearls was added to the flower centers.

Hi and welcome to my blog. I recently went to the Stamp and Scrapbook Expo and bought this fun stamp by Stamping Bella. Actually I bought it at a large stamp store where we usually go first before the show! I have three cats and I just couldn't resist this stamp. LOL! I masked the cats and sponged around them using a new cloud stencil. I used several punches on my card this time. The fence, flower and leaves are all punches.

I am using another fun new stamp today! These birthday meeces are enjoying this bunch of grapes. I chose to use stickers on my card. I adhered one of the open gift stickers to purple glitter paper and fussy cut it. Then I added the other gift stickers and the birthday saying that is also a sticker.

Special Seahorse

Hello and welcome to my blog. I was playing with a technique and added it to my card today. I took some yupo paper and made holes in it using a wood burning tool. Next I applied several colors of blue and green Alcohol Pearls to the paper. I cut off a few pieces to add to this card. The seahorse is a new stamp that I got at a recent stamp convention. I stamped it on an alcohol inked background that I had in my stash and used the included die to cut it out.

With Sympathy

Hi and welcome to my blog. I made a sympathy card today using a Gina K stamp. Aren't these flowers beautiful? I always try to keep a few sympathy cards on hand. I hope I will not need to use any of them soon. I am entering this card into the Gina K August challenge - adding texture. I added texture to my card by using a Martha Stewart border punch and lining up the punched borders over my card front. I stamped, colored and fussy cut the flowers. For the large flower, I stamped it again, colored and fussy cut it and pop dotted it to the card. The flowers were colored using Distress Oxide inks and a water brush. The saying is a sticker.

I have a boat load of rub ons in my stash. That is why I came up with this theme! The flowers at the top right and the saying are rub ons. I have forgotten how fun they are to use. The 2 skinny strips at the bottom of the card is washi tape. Don't you just love this cute new House Mouse stamp? He is really enjoying the garden!
