I have been drawing since a child and studied graphics at College many years ago, I now work as a Medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4yrs ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but I’m afraid I got the bug! My daughter preferred scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with like minded people.
I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not find what I wanted so I started to draw myself. This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back, I love thinking of new images, and its just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful works of art. Long may it continue!

Lorraine will also be giving away this gorgeous Merry and Bright Cling Stamp Set

Many thanks to our generous Sponsors for their continued support.

Many Ways to Color #22 - Smooch Pearlized Inks

Hi and welcome to my blog. I am showing another way to color a stamped image. While I was packing to move, I found these Smooch Pearlized inks that I had not used in a long time. I really enjoyed using them to color the leaves on the tree. They have a very small brush like tip, just perfect to color in small areas. They are so pretty and shimmery too.

I found a background in my stash where I used the bokeh technique. Instead of using a circle stencil, I used a leaf stencil. I stamped the tree onto the background and colored with the Smooch Pearlized Inks.
Stamp:  Tree - Stampendous
Die:  Hello - Recollections
Smooched Pearlized Inks
Distress Inks - Ranger
Leaf Stencil - Unknown

Christmas Cheer

Hi and welcome to my blog! I am sharing a Christmas card that I made for the Penny Black challenge - Glitter & Glitz. I used a clear glitter embossing paste and a stencil to make the falling snow. I used a Pearl paint pen for the snow on the pine needles and ground. The Cheer die was cut from red metallic card stock. I used Broken China Distress ink to sponge the sky.

Happy Thanksgiving

Hi and welcome to my blog. Thanksgiving is right around the corner! I am showing this Thanksgiving card I made where I used an alcohol inked background that I pulled from my stash. When I made this background, while the alcohol ink was still a bit tacky, I added some gold gilding flakes to it to add some shine. I cut out the skeleton leaf die from watercolor paper and used the negative to lay over the alcohol inked background.

Die:  Skeleton Leaves Die Set - Sizzix (TH)
Alcohol Inks - Ranger
Saying - Unknown

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving!

Lately on my cards, I have been using backgrounds that I made. This background was made by sponging Oxide inks over the debossed side of the card. I randomly patted a Versa Mark ink pad over the sponged background, added white embossing powder and heat set it. I paper pieced the ornament using metallic paper. I made "snow" under the sled using liquid paste and glitter.

Christmas Deer

Hi and welcome to my blog. I am showing a deer card I made for the Double D Challenge. I made the deer stamp by using a deer die and cut it out of fun foam. I inked up the deer in a light tan color. Then I inked up a woodgrain stamp with a darker brown ink and stamped this stamp over the deer and then stamped the deer onto my card stock. This is called the "kissing" technique.

Many Ways to Color #21 - Ink Stains

Hi and welcome to my blog. I was packing getting ready to move and I kept discovering products that I had not used in ages. Imagine that! Most of my coloring mediums were already packed away so I was glad to find these ink stains called Ink Tintz, by Fiber Scraps. They work just like the ink stains by Ranger. I rubbed them right over my maple leaf stamp and then stamped the image on light tan card stock. This was a fast way to add color to a stamp. The bird was stamped onto a smooshed ink background and fussy cut. I splattered some Tea Die Distress ink over the card.

Stamp:  Scribbly Bird - Dina Wakley
              Maple Leaf - Hero Arts
Ink Tintz:  (gold and green) - Fiber Scraps
Saying:  Stampendous
Distress Ink:  Tea Die

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!
