H is for Heat Embossing

I am on letter H for my alphabet series. I used heat embossing on this card. Heat embossing is what got me hooked on stamping and I have been stamping now for 3 decades! I love to heat emboss on patterned paper because the embossing makes the stamp stand out better than just stamping with ink. I was thrilled the other day when I went into Dollar Tree and found this beautiful bicycle stamp! I had to use it right away.

G is for Gilding Flakes

Hi and welcome to my blog. I am showing another card in my alphabet series and today the letter is G. I used gilding flakes on my card. I do not use these often, but I love how they add so much to the card. I daubed alcohol inks on yupo paper and then while the alcohol ink was still tacky I added the copper and gold gilding flakes.

I used design paper and paper pieced the flower. I used a coordinating piece of paper for the border and die cut butterflies from some more design paper. Flower Soft was used for the flower's center.
