Out With the New, In With the Old #1

Happy New Year! I am starting a new series on my blog as I have been doing for quite a few years now. This helps me get out of a rut when cardmaking. I am calling this series "Out With the New and In With the Old!" This year I want to use my very old wooden stamps that I have displayed in my craft room that I never use much.

When I moved recently, I got rid of many of my wooden stamps and kept the ones I really liked. I can't wait to get them off the shelf and stamp with them this year. Sooo, here is my first card!

I love birds and this one is so cute! I made a whimsical frame by stamping 2 smaller stamps randomly around the edges of the card.

Supplies used:

Stamps: Bird - Stampendous (wooden)
             Music Script - Composer's Dream - Stampabilities
             (wooden)
Ultimate Grunge cling stamps - Stamper's
             Anonymous
Happy Birthday Stickers - Paper Wishes
Die: Small Alder Tree - Memory Box
Colored Pencils - Prisma

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

  2. It will be fun to see the "oldies but goodies" stamps that you use this year! You did a great job coloring the cute bird. I think the bird in front of a musical background is a fun idea for a birthday card.

  3. Oh that bird is so sweet and I do love the way you colored it up, very clever stamping the frame around it too, like the music background to it also!

  4. Your new theme for the year is a great one and I think we all could be doing the same. This is one super cute card. The bird is so cute. The turquoise wing pops the bird and coordinates so well with the background. Your bird is so cheery singing notes in a song sheet--LOL. The turquoise background is awesome. I sure would love to see that kind of thing in one of our next Teams meeting.
