Technique Tuesday -- Zendoodling

Hi! I am sorry this is a little late today. Too much going on! I trust you are enjoying your day. It's a little cooler here with a breeze, so I am trying to enjoy it before it heats up again!
You might have noticed that we have some new Zendoodle stamp sets here at Sparkle N Sprinkle.  Zendoodle or Zentangle  has become popular in recent years. It is an art form of glorified doodling.  I remember doing a lot of this when I was a teenager. Today I am showing you how to do your own Zendoodling starting with a Zendoodle stamp. It really is easy and there are no real "rules' you have to follow.

Supplies:
  1. Zendoodle  Rainbow set 462
  2. black fine point permanent felt pen
  3. markers
  4. white cardstock
Stamp the birds on white cardstock.

I decided I wanted the two at the bottom on a limb, so I drew a limb with leaves and drew a swirl at the end.

Then I started sectioning off the bottom  of the card to do more doodling.

Then I started doodling in each section. Your doodling does not need to be elaborate.

Stamp the rainbow at the top -- the rainbow is already doddled, but I added some more interest by doodling the shape of the cloud several times.

I like the look of the black and white doodling, but I wanted some color, so I just colored a few things to bring them out. I left a lot of areas blank because I wanted the birds to stand out , but you can cover the whole background like Marie did on hers here. She did a wonderful job!

Now it is your turn! It is easy and fun. Just let your doodles flow. Have fun! Thanks for stopping by!
