Hi and welcome to my blog! Today I am showing a card I made using butterflies I made from vellum. I wanted my butterflies to look delicate, so I made them from vellum by stamping my butterfly stamp onto vellum using Versa mark ink. I then added white embossing powder and heat set it. Next I turned them over and colored with pink markers on the back and fussy cut them. I like using the vellum because you can bend the wings in different ways to make them dimensional.
I also used some punches that I have not used in awhile. I used Martha Stewart corner and border punches to make the eyelet lace frames.
I also stamped a script stamp behind the butterflies and added white embossing powder. You can see it better here.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful, the butterflies look great in the vellum with a touch of pink and your punched framing is perfect, you have me wanting to get mine out again :)
ReplyDeleteOh, such a sweet card, love its young feel!! Fabulous vellum butterflies and eyelet lace frames! Thank so much for sharing your adorable work at the Butterfly Challenge#59!
ReplyDeleteHi, April! GORGEOUS card with your butterflies and MS punch. I SO VERY MUCH enjoy using my MS punches. With all the pretty, ornate dies that are out there, they just cannot compete with her punches. I am sad that her company is apparently pulling out of the paper crafting industry. I don't blame them for moving on, but the quality really was outstanding! hugs, de
