Hi and welcome to my blog. Father's Day is approaching so have you made your Father's Day cards yet? Check out all the neat Just For Fun stamps that you can use for your Father's Day cards! This stamp reminds me so much of my dad and his 1956 Chevy. This Just For Fun stamp is actually a 1957 Chevy but my dad had the 1956 model. He must have loved that car because he had it for 18 years! I remember when the horn went out on it and he had a new horn installed where you pushed a button on the side of the steering wheel column. I was so embarrassed because it sounded like someone blowing his nose! LOL! I also remember that there were a few holes in the floorboard too. The car was a mint green color with black and white textured seats.
So in honor of Dad, I colored this car mint green using colored pencils and Gamsol. I used a silver paint pen to color the "chrome" on the car. Textured paper was used for the background that reminds me of the car's interior. I used some metal tape and ran it through an embossing folder and adhered it to the card. I stamped and embossed the saying from the Sentiments 3 unmounted sheet, onto black card stock and cut out a banner. My dad has passed away, but I will always have fond memories of him and his Chevy!
Don't forget to join in this month's challenge. You might even win a gift certificate to the store!
I hope you have a wonderful day!
