I tried a fun technique on this card that I saw recently. It is called the carved wood technique. I used it for the background. You can see the technique by clicking here.

Great video. I don't think I've heard of this technique. Your card looks great. How playful that House Mouse is to take a few bites out of the apple to make it look like a smiley face. [Bunny]
ReplyDeleteSo cute and awesome job on the background!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link to the video- what a pretty effect- and your background is beautiful! This is such a fun image- love the nibbled smile on the apple. Fun HM card!
ReplyDeleteThe stamp is so cute and you coloured it so well. You used nice designpapers to create the background.

that is just too cute, puts a snile on my face, and that looks like a neat technique!
ReplyDeleteApril, this is such a fun card! I did go over and watch the YouTube video, and that really is a cool technique. I will have to try it, especially now that it’s autumn. That will fit so many fall cards. Your little mouse is absolutely adorable. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Word Art Wednesday. We really appreciate your talent!
ReplyDeleteHi April! What a super sweet card. I'm always afraid to use my (I own only five) House Mouse stamps. They sit on my shelf because I'm too scared to use them. I don't color well, and I don't think I can do them justice. Anyway....I thank you so much for sharing this sweet card with us at Word Art Wednesday. I appreciate you and hope to have you join us again soon. Have a blessed week
ReplyDeleteYour card is adorable. That carved wood technique looks so good. The red of the apple accents well against the wood.
ReplyDeleteI clicked on your link. I signed up under Tina almost 3 years ago and we've become such great friends. She has alot of awesome tutorials. Tina is so sweet.
That technique is super cool. Looks very rustic-I will have to check it out! 🍁🍂Sue Kment
