Brick Background

Hi and welcome to my blog! I am showing a card I made using a brick background. I love trying new techniques, so I tried this brick background that I found online. I started with a brick embossing folder by Sizzix and ran it through my machine using white card stock. I brushed blue ink over the whole piece of card stock and then swiped brown ink over top in a few places. Next I spritzed the background a few times with water to give it a little more texture. Lastly I went over the grout areas of the brick with a white colored pencil to make the bricks stand out more. I plan on trying other colors soon using this technique.

Stamp:  Sunflower - Sparkle N Sprinkle
Embossing Folder:  Brick - Sizzix
Die:  Happy Birthday - Spellbinders 2024 Advent Calendar

  1. That technique turned out so cool, I like how you did an all blue background so that the flower would pop off of it, neat touch with the string and bow too!
