All of this comes in one set as you can see here.

Technique Tuesday -- Mitten Pouch

Hi Everyone! Welcome back to the Sparkle N Sprinkle Technique Tuesday! I am happy that you stopped by. I want to show you a cute winter gift that is easy to make. My mitten has a hot chocolate pack in it.

Supplies needed:
  1. mitten template
  2. 2 pieces 6  1/2  x  6  1/2  of the same patterned card stock
  3. 1/8"   Tear-ific Tape
  4. fine point black felt pen
  5. white card stock
  6. pencil
I made my mitten template by tracing around my hand on white card stock and it worked very well.

Cut out the template. Put the 2 pieces of patterned card stock with their backs together and lay the template on top. Trace the template lightly with a pencil. Take off the template and cut out the mitten with the 2 layers of patterned card stock. This way you only have to cut the pattern once and you will have the mittens going in the right direction. Take your pen and make faux stitching on the front piece.

Now place the tape on the inside of one of the mittens, peel off the backing and adhere the other mitten to it. Now you have made your pouch! Easy!

Tie the ribbon around the base of the mitten and add image and embellishments.
Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you will enjoy making this gift to send to someone special!

The New And The Old

Hello! I have really enjoyed this beautiful day today! It has been warm and partly sunny. I have the window to my craft room open and my cat is sitting in the window just loving it! I am smelling food that a neighbor is cooking on the grill! Feels just like Spring! Anyway, I want to show you a card that I have made for several challenges. I used a new stamp by La Blanche that has been sitting on my craft table just waiting to be used! I used this stamp with an old technique. I colored with markers directly onto the stamp, spritzed it with water and stamped. I always love this technique, but I have not used it in ages! The frame was cut with the Classic Frame die from Spellbinders using Basic Grey paper Green at Heart - Kelly.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful and blessed day!

Challenges entered:
Basic Grey -- Something New
Simon Says -- Embrace the Old
Crafty Catz -- Buttons and Bows

Just Froggy

Hi Everyone! I hope you are having a good start to your weekend. It has started off rainy here today, but the next two days are supposed to be sunny and in the seventies! We are having Spring in Winter! I just made some cards with a new stamp set from Sparkle N Sprinkle called Just Froggy. This is such a cute stamp set! On the first card I made my first attempt at lineless coloring. It is a lot harder to do than it looks, for me that is! LOL! I used Champagne, Starfire and Pretty Princess glitters from Sparkle N Sprinkle.

Here is my second card. I used Waterscape glitter from Sparkle N Sprinkle on the bubbles. Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful weekend!

Flower Power

Hi Everyone! Welcome back to the Sparkle N Sprinkle Technique Tuesday! I trust all is going well with you in this new year.  I want to show you how to make your own flowers to match your scrapbook page or card.  I made up a whole bunch of  flowers for this scrapbook page and still  have a few left over for another project!

Supplies needed:
  1. Stamp set Blossoms 429
  2. Spellbinders Blossoms 3 dies
  3. patterned paper and and solid card stock  (colors to match project)
  4. glitter -- I used Champagne glitter G1045
  5. glue  -- Brushable glue 540
  6. water spritzer
  7. paint brush or tool to work flowers
  8. scissors
  9. hard foam pad
  10. paper towel or tissue
  11. pearls
I first stamped flowers from the Blossoms set all over my patterned paper and cut them out using the Blossoms 3 dies to match.

I did this with all of my papers and card stock.

Once you have cut all your flowers take scissors and cut between the petals.

Take the spritzer and spritz a flower with water  (not too wet) and blot with a tissue or paper towel.

Now put the flower on the hard foam pad and start working the petals with the end of the paint brush or flower tool.

After you have worked all the petals, then push down in the middle of the flower to make the petals come up more. Set aside to dry. The flowers will dry stiff and stay in the position you have worked it.

When the flowers dry put them together and add pearls, etc. to the centers. Then add glitter to the edges.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you will try making some flowers for your projects.  Have a wonderful day!

It's All Blue

Hi Everyone! I hope you are enjoying your weekend. I made this card for two challenges. One is the Penny Black challenge -- January Blues, and the Monochrome challenge at Charisma Cardz. I don't seem to work with blues very often, so this was different for me. I love this cute hedgehog from Penny Black. The sparkle on the flowers is Waterscape glitter courtesy of Sparkle N Sprinkle. Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you have a good one!

Hi Everyone! Happy New Year! I hope it will be the best one yet! I want to share with you today the tag that I made for Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of 2013. I always enjoy doing the tag each month and learning some new techniques along with it. This month a lot of texture was used on the tag. You can see Tim's demo here.
On my tag I used this cute little snowman stamp and, Cloud Nine and Reflection glitters from Sparkle N Sprinkle. I am also entering this into the Simon Says challenge -- Anything Goes. Thanks for stopping by. I hope your day is a good one!
