Many Ways to Color #6

Hi and welcome to my blog. On my card today I have used colored pencils a little differently. Using this method you can color on colored card stock where the color will show up. I love this look on kraft card stock, so that is what I am using today. First you stamp the images using white pigment ink.

Next use your colored pencils to color over the top of the white, making sure the white ink is dry first. You will be able to see the colors and there will also be a white halo around the images.

Stamps:  Wonderful Wishes - Rubbernecker
White Pencil and Colored Pencils - Prisma
Die:  Words - Recollections

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great day!

I enjoy doing a lot of stamping techniques, so I chose to do a technique for the background of my card today. I scribbled alcohol markers on the back of vellum, spritzed the vellum with alcohol and let the colors blend. I cut out the background using a frame die to add to the white card base.

Many Ways to Color #5

Hi! I am back again with another way to color a stamped image. I am using a very common way to color today and one that we don't normaly choose! I used CRAYONS to color on this card. I know a stamper who used crayons a lot on his images and they always looked great, so I decided to go for it! I started with the yellow crayon and then used pink and a little red on the flowers. I went back over the flowers with pink and then used a white crayon to blend it more. Crayons do not blend very well, but can blend some using this method. I colored the leaves in the same manner. I like the way the crayons give the image a little more texture.

Stamps:  Poetic Peonies - Rubbernecker
Embossing Folder - Sizzix
Saying:  Stickers - Krazy Kreations
Crayons - Crayola

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

I always like to have get well cards on hand, just in case. For the background I randomly scored some white card stock and then swiped some purple and a little bit of pink ink over it to make it look like wood. I used a flower frame die that I recently purchased - cut from purple card stock.

Stamp:  Lily of the Valley - Stampendous
Die:  Flower Frame - Unknown
Sticker saying - Starform
Colored Pencils - Prisma
