April Showers

Welcome to Sparkle N Sprinkle's April 1 Reveal

April Fools! Have you tricked anyone yet today? And can you believe it is my birthday? I am not fooling! I have always asked my mom "why did you have to choose that day?" LOL!  Anyway I chose to use the new April Showers set to make my card. This set is perfect to use for the month of April of course! I love the look of paper piecing, so I paper pieced the umbrellas.

I used Gypsy red velvet glitter GM2005 on the frame, coats and bottom border and Blue Jewel glitter G1113 was used on the raindrops.

Here is the card opened. For the full instructions how to make this card you can click here.

This month 5 new stamp sets are being introduced. Until April 3, the sets are 20% off their regular price. The April Showers stamp set is available on Cling Mounted Rubber, as a digital image, and is also included in Jazzy Jill's Technique Video for the month.

Christmas in March

Hi Everyone! I want to show you a Christmas card I made with one of Sparkle N Sprinkle's new release stamp sets - A Winter Cardinal 518. March has been so up and down weather wise that at times it has felt like Christmas!  I used Glistening Emeralds Sparkle N Soft SS102 on the pine needles and Brown Fizz embossing powder EP381 on the frame. Gold embossing powder EP169 was used on the saying. I wanted to add a more distressed look, so I pounced a scrungy sponge tool on a Versa Mark ink pad, then pounced that on the circle, added the gold embossing powder and heat set.

On the silk poinsettia I used White Liquid Applique and added Sparkling Snow glitter G1003 to it.

The pine cones were made by using deco scissors, cutting around in a circle and then rolling up the circle. I also added White Applique and Sparkling Snow glitter the them. To see full instructions on how to make this card please click here.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope your day is great!

Found

Hi Everyone! I hope you are enjoying your day. I am savoring this day because it is beautiful and warm and Old Man Winter is coming back soon they say.

I want to share a card I made for some challenges. I love using my House Mouse stamps. The challenge there is Lost and Found. This little mousy has found his appetite and is a happy camper! I also found some Happy Birthday paper, that I had used awhile back, to go with him.

I used Waterscape glitter from Sparkle N Sprinkle on the frosting of the donut.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

Whistling in Spring

Hi Everyone! Well, we have winter again and it's only getting colder the next two days AND rainy; however, I am NOT going to let this weather keep me from thinking about Spring. So I want to share a card I made last month for Winterfest on the Two Peas in a Bucket stamping board. These little birdies are whistling in Spring!

I combined a few challenges on this card. One was that we were to use a speech bubble. Since I did not have any stamps of speech bubbles, I made my own and added a music note brad in it. Another challenge was to mask a stamp, so I masked part of a background music script stamp at the bottom of the card. The third challenge was to stamp a stamp onto wet watercolor paper. It bleeds. Let dry. Then stamp the same stamp over that image. I did this technique on the bird cage and cut it out since mine bled a little too much! LOL!

Thanks for stopping by. I hope this helps to put you in a Spring state of mind even if Old Man Winter wants to hang on!  I hope you have a wonderful day!

Fun to Shop

Hi Everyone!  I trust you are having a good day. Sparkle N Sprinkle has come out with a lot of new and fun sets lately. I would like to show you a card I made with the new Born to Shop stamp set 554. This was a fun set to use with a lot of possibilities.  I paper pieced the shops and popped up the red one. What fun it is to shop at a new place. We are getting a lot of new shops in our town at a new shopping center and it is fun to see what is coming.

I made the flowers by rolling patterned papers. I added a pearl to the centers, used Brushable Glue on them and addedDaisy GM2019, Dazzling Rose G1085 and Midnight Gold G1080 glitters.

Champagne glitter G1045 was added to the windows.

I used Sparkle embossing powder EP107 on the patterned paper background and on the swirls on the clouds.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful and blessed day!

Stencil Play

Hi Everyone! I hope you are having a good day. It is beautiful here, sunny and warm. I want to show you a card I made using stencils. I enjoy playing with them. There are so many mediums that can be used with them. My background for this card was made using a butterfly, fern and swirl stencil. I used spray inks in eggplant, teal and aqua colors.

Underneath the background I used a pale pink embossed panel and added jewels. I cut 2 slits on the hat and ran ribbon through for the hat's band.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great day!

Happy Birthday

Hi Everyone! I hope you are having a good day. We are having a cold rain here, but they are forecasting much better weather for the weekend. Yeah!

I want to show you a birthday card I made using new Penny Black stamps. I love this Reflection stamp set. I am always in need of birthday cards, so I have been making some lately to have on hand.

I added a tag with a message. I used a Penny Black saying from the Critter Party stamp set.

Spring Tag

Hi Everyone! I know all of us are getting Spring fever. We have had some very Spring like weather here lately, but it will be getting colder. I know those of you with lots of snow are looking forward to Spring for sure! I want to share the Spring tag I made for Tim Holtz's tag challenge for March. I always have fun making the tags each month and learning new techniques and tips. You can see his demo here.

I added glitter to the eggs so that they would stand out better.

At the top I used some of my Washi tape that has been sitting in a drawer forever! LOL!

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!
