Bio.
I have been drawing since a child and studied graphics at College many years ago, I now work as a Medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4yrs ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but I’m afraid I got the bug! My daughter preferred scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with like minded people.

I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not
find what I wanted so I started to draw myself.
This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back
I love thinking of new images, and its just fabulous to see others take them
and make them into beautiful works of art. Long may it continue!

AND

We have these two adorable House Mouse stamps from the Design Team for one lucky entrant too!

Please remember you must use a
House Mouse Design image on your card/project to enter.

I have really been missing my stamping groups lately. I have three stamping groups where we get together to make cards. This cute stamp reminds me of my groups. It is SO much better to craft together! I hope that we will be able to get back together soon.

It was fun making this background for my card. I took Distress Stains, pounced the nib to the card stock fairly hard and got these fun splats!

Thinking of You - Stampabilities
Die:  Labels 8 - Spellbinders

Handmade Backgrounds #8

Hi and welcome to my blog. I am showing another one of my handmade backgrounds today. This background is so much fun to play with because you never know what look you will get.

Stamp:  Sparkle N Sprinkle
Color Medium:  Colored Pencils and Gamsol
Dies:  Gina Marie Stitched Oval and Leaves (no brand)
Stencil:  by The Crafters Workshop
Inks:  Distress Inks - Bundled Sage and Tumbled Glass

I started with this stencil and sponged Bundled Sage distress ink all over it.

Next I turned the stencil a 45 degree turn and used Tumbled Glass Distress ink. This is what the background looked like after I finished. Pretty cool looking!

I hope you will have fun playing with your stencils this way and seeing what cool designs you get.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Spring Bird

Hi and welcome to my blog! My most favorite things to stamp are birds! I love watching all the birds at my feeders. I have been seeing the beautiful goldfinches lately. They look like Easter eggs in the grass near the feeders.

I want to show you a Spring card that I made, of course using a bird stamp! This little bird is from Dina Wakley's Scribbly Small Birdies stamp set. I use this bird a lot.

I made a simple Dutch Door card. Here is the card opened.

I stamped the image and colored with alcohol markers. I cut the image out using the Gina Marie stitched circle die and matted it onto a larger blue circle.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Spring has been beautiful here in our area. I have been taking long walks to see all the beautiful blooming trees and flowers! I just love this cute stamp. I am not much of a green thumb. It looks like these mousies are not either! They had to dress themselves up as flowers. I hope that you have been able to enjoy the spring and I hope that you had a nice Easter as well.

Happy Easter!

Hi and welcome to my blog. Because of the rough time we are in right now many of us are celebrating Easter in creative ways. I will miss being at church and celebrating with my fellow believers. I am thankful that we have technology where we can have virtual church these days!

I Peter 1:3 says -- Praise be to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

I am so thankful that Jesus willingly gave Himself to die for me so that I might have eternal life with Him. I am glad that He is alive in heaven and waiting for all of His children to come to live with him for eternity.

I hope that each one of you will have a blessed Easter!

Handmade Backgrounds #7

Welcome to my blog! Here is another background card for my handmade background series. It has been fun going through my many backgrounds to see all the neat techniques I have done.

For this background I sponged Distress inks through a leaf stencil. I kept the stencil on my card stock and then stamped a script stamp over it using a Distress brown ink. I lifted off the stencil and it left a neat looking background! I have had this stencil forever and it is one of my favorites.

This bird is also and old stamp. I stamped the bird on white card stock by applying my brown and green ink pads directly to the stamp using my stamp positioner. The bird was cut out using the Spellbinders small circle die. I watercolored around the bird using Distress Wilted Violet ink. Next I sponged the edge of the circle with Distress Gathered Twigs ink. This was pop dotted to the card and cord and sequins were added to the card for interest.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a blessed day!

Due to the pandemic challenge prizes are being sponsored by the Design Team.

This week we will be giving away a Watercolor Wishes and a Cupcake Sprinkles Cling Stamp to one lucky entrant!

I had fun making this card. I had this black card stock laying on my desk where I had cut out the hello die. I decided to layer it over green glitter card stock for a shimmery look. I used this cute mousey that is writing a glittery hello. I colored the image with alcohol markers and cut it out using an oval die. The ink jar was paper pieced. I also added flowers cut from black card stock to add as interest. The flowers' centers were made using a hole punch.

Stamp:  Stampa Rosa

Dies:  Hello - Tonic, Small Oval - Spellbinders, Tattered Flowers - Tim Holtz

Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers

Paper:  Glitzy Pastels - DCWV

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope that you will enjoy doing this challenge. Have a blessed day!
