Just For Fun Challenge

Another month has quickly passed and we are now in June! Time really flies. At Just For Fun  the challenge for this month is to make a shaped card. I made my card into a birdhouse and used the Just For Fun small Fashion Warbler. I stamped the bird and embossed with white embossing powder. I colored the bird using Zig watercolor markers and then fussy cut it. The birdhouse was run through a wood embossing folder. I swiped dark brown Distress ink over the raised areas. The leaf die is Fresh Foliage from Memory Box. I used the saying from the Sentiments 3 umounted sheet and cut it in two so that it would fit in the circle.

We hope that you will join in our new challenge. We would love to see all of your fun shaped cards. You might even win a gift certificate to the store!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great day!

Happy Birthday

Hi and welcome to my blog. I love the Penny Black hedgehogs and I use them a lot! This time I made a birthday card with one. I fussy cut the present that the mouse is holding - to put in his hand. The present image came from the Penny Black Critter Party stamp set. The image was colored using Spectrum Noir alcohol pens, cut out with the Spelldinders Labels 50 die and pop dotted to the card.

Fractured Sky

Hi! I hope you are having a good day. I was not sure how to name this card. You can see why I called it Fractured Sky. I found this background in my stash where I had stamped the Just For Fun Broken Mosaic background stamp on watercolor paper and added clear embossing powder. I then dropped various colors of Distress inks into the open spaces and let them blend together using my water pen. Next I stamped the Skyline Silhouette stamp on white card stock using blue ink and fussy cut it. This stamp reminds me of the New York City skyline and the song New York! I pop dotted that to the background. I found the balloon embellishment in my stash and adhered it to a blue circle punched backing.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Please join the Just For Fun challenge this month which is to use more than one stamp! We would love to see your creations! Have a great day!

Shabby Chic #10

Hi! I am back again with another shabby chic card to show you. I found the oval in my stash made using peg stamps. I stamped the bird from Local King Rubber Stamps and added a saying. I backed the oval using an Ellentina die cut from dark pink card stock. The ribbon was dyed and little roses and pearls were added to the card.

Flourish Wreath

Hi! Welcome to my blog. I hope all you mothers had a great Mother's Day. I sure did. My boys pulled all the stops! We had a great day together.

Recently I was playing with the wreath builder template using the Just For Fun  Flourish from the Stamptangle Cube. This is the card I made with it.

You can see how this wreath builder system works by looking up wreath builder on line. There are several different videos that show how to use it. I just love how this stamp works so well with it. The saying is from the Sentiments 3 unmounted sheet.

I used blue and green Oxide inks on my stamp and alternated the colors as I went around.

Remember that Just For Fun has a challenge going on. We would love for you to join in. You can see all the details here.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Birthday Fun

Hi and welcome to my blog! I always need birthday cards and I love making them, so I am showing you a birthday card today that I made using Just For Fun stamps. The challenge this month at Just For Fun is to use more than one stamp, so I used the Gift Cube stamp that has four different gifts on it. This gift cube stamp can be used for birthdays and Christmas!

I found the background in my stash where I had patted some Distress ink colors on the back of a stencil, spritzed the colors with water and layed it down on the watercolor paper. When the stencil was lifted the numbers had a nice soft watercolor look - great for a background! I stamped and colored the gifts, using the same Distress inks and water, fussy cut them and pop dotted them to the card. I stamped the birthday saying across the card multiple times. The saying is from the Sentiments 1 unmounted sheet. The ribbon was dyed using Distress inks.

I hope you will join us in this month's challenge. Have a wonderfull day!

Shabby Chic #9

Hi! I hope you are having a good day. Well, it is May and on my shabby chic card today I am using a cone flower from Tim Holtz. I just love cone flowers with all their pretty colors! Aren't these gorgeous?

A new variety of echinacea!

Here is the card I made with the stamp.

All of the items on my card were things I already had in my stash. All the dies are Spellbinders dies. The butterfly is from Tim Holtz's Butterfly Frenzy die. The background and flower were colored using Twinkling H2Os. The saying is from Sparkle N Sprinkle.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a blessed day!!
