Technique Tuesday -- Spritzed Watercolor

First of all I want to wish everyone a Happy Easter. It has been so beautiful in our area. Welcome back to Technique Tuesday at Sparkle N Sprinkle. I hope you will enjoy the techniques that I am showing today. I will actually be showing 2 techniques that I used on this card.

Supplies:
  1. water spritzer
  2. various flower, leaf, butterfly stamps
  3. light pigment ink ( I used light blue )
  4. large shadow stamp
  5. markers ( I used purple, aqua, and green )
  6. white or cream cardstock
  7. Versa Mark ink pad
  8. 3 different colors embossing powders ( I used Log Cabin, Cerulean Star and Winter Berry )
Stamp large shadow stamp inked with the blue pigment ink on white or cream cardstock.

Take your markers and color directly on the tulip stamp and then spritz the stamp lightly with water.

Stamp the stamp onto the blue inked background.

Continue to do this with the leaf and butterfly stamps, until your background is finished.

Next I stamped a different butterfly on the left of the card using Versa Mark ink and did the paint embossing technique.  After stamping the butterfly in Versa Mark ink, pour Log Cabin embossing powder over the top 1/3 of the butterfly. Then pour Cerulean Star embossing powder over the bottom right side of the butterfly and Winter Berry over the bottom left of the butterfly. Use a heat gun to heat the powder to bring the butterfly to the forefront.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you will play with these techniques to see how fun they are.
See you next week!
