Happy Bird - Day

Hi and welcome to my blog. I have a fun card to show you, and boy don't we need some fun right now with all the bad news going around!

First I used the Grunge Dots stencil by A Colorful Life Designs and sponged over it using Picked Raspberry Distress Ink. I stamped the fun Penny Black stamp over the background and colored the image using a Tombow marker. This was a fun and simple card to make!

I just love this fun new stamp called Birthday Kitty. I colored the image using alcohol markers and cut out the image with the Spellbinders Labels 4 die. I used the saying die on striped patterned paper and layered it on black card stock for it to pop. Clear Stickles glitter glue was used on the cake's frosting. I always love making birthday cards. It seems I am always in need of some too!

The House That Stamps Built:  It's Raining Cats and Dogs

Handmade Background #5

Welcome back to my background series. It is March and we think of this month as being the windy month. So I thought I would use these balloons on my card by BoBunny.

Now to the background.  I put a piece of wax paper on top of a piece of glossy card stock and ran it through an embossing folder. The wax from the paper transferred to the card stock and acted as a resist. When I sponged on Distress inks the pattern from the embossing folder showed up!

This is such a neat way to make some fun backgrouds.

I am so glad that Spring is on the way!  For my card I used this cute stamp called Two Part Harmony. The birds in my area have really been singing lately. This stamp reminds me of them.

Neon Flowers

Hi and welcome to my blog. I want to show you a card that I made using neon colors. I also used a fun technique.

First of all I stamped a swirl background stamp by Stampabilities onto white card stock using white pigment ink. When the ink dried I stamped the flower stamp (unknown) over the whole card using bright colors of Distress inks. The swirls showed through the stamped flowers for a textured look. I added a small flower by Rubber Nature Art Stamps. The hello die is by Tonic.

I am so glad that Spring is on its way! We have trees and daffodils blooming here. I wanted to make a cheery card to celebrate!

March seems to always be a windy month, so I decided to use this fun image called Comin' Down. I took the embossing challenge and used a cloud embossing folder. First I sponged Distress ink colors on glossy card stock, ran it through the embossing folder and then sanded over the clouds with a sanding block. I paper pieced the (parachute), fussy cut the image and pop dotted it to the card.
