Happy Easter

Happy Easter everyone! I hope your Easter is wonderful and blessed! "He is not here; he has risen, just as he said." Matthew 28: 6.

This is a step stand up card. Here is a side view to show how it stands up. I stamped and fussy cut the lops. The butterfly die is from Cheery Lynn and the Leaf die is from Memory Box. The Egg is an svg that I stamped a script on. I used the lacy ribbon punch from Martha Stewart for the border at the bottom of the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!

Smell The Roses

Hi! I am back with another House Mouse card. These House Mouse stamps are so cute and I love using them on cards! I used the Spellbinders Raindrops on Roses die behind the oval. The Stitched Oval is from Gina Marie. I used a red marker to accent the stitching. The butterflies were cut using Tim Holtz's Butterfly Frenzy die. I used Diamond Glaze on the rose.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Pastels

Hi and welcome to my blog. I am so glad you stopped by today! Here is a card I made using a cute House Mouse stamp. I fussy cut the three mice and cut them apart to fit in my umbrella die that I cut from patterned paper. I then patted the umbrella with Versa Mark ink, added Sparkle embossing powder from Sparkle N Sprinkle and heat set it. I do not use pastel colors a lot, so it was fun working with them on this card.

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Altered Dies #6

Hi and welcome back to Altered Dies #6! I have had so much fun with these altered dies. I do not have a hot air balloon die so I looked through my dies to see how I could make one. Here are the steps below.

I started with these 2 dies -- Spellbinders Birdcage 1 and the smallest Fleur de Lis Rectangle.

I snipped off the top of the birdcage with scissors.

I wanted the "basket" of the balloon to have more texture like a basket so I used the Spellbinders die Raindrops On Roses made for Heartfelt Creations.

I used glue stick to glue the die over the rectangle so that I could cut around it easily.

Here is a close up of the card to see the texture on the basket better.

I hope you enjoyed seeing how I made this hot air balloon. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful and blessed day!

Rustic Bunny

Hi Everyone! Welcome to my blog. I want to share a tag I made using a Sizzix bunny die. At first I was going to use the negative cut of the bunny but to me it looked like a warped mushroom! LOL! So instead I used the cut out of him. I cut him from a cardboard lid, peeled off some of the top layer to show some ridges. I swiped over the ridges using a Distress Black Soot ink pad. I also sprayed some Pewter Distress ink on him. Last I used Tim Holtz Speckles stencil to add some spots to the bunny. I made the background using Tim Holtz Alteration Collection dies and following this technique here. I added butterflies to the tag using Tim Holtz Butterfly Frenzy dies.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great day!

Sweet Bunny

Hi Everyone, I can't believe Easter is right around the corner! I want to show you a card I made using a sweet little bunny and saying from Just For Fun stamps. I stamped the bunny on patterned paper and fussy cut him. I used a flower cuttlebug embossing folder on the background and added little gems to the flower centers. The fence is a Memory Box die.

Altered Dies #5

Welcome back to another altered die project. Easter will soon be here and it is time to think about those Easter bonnets! When I was growing up my mother, her friends and I wore Easter hats to church on Easter Sunday. Do you remember those days? I am showing my age. LOL! Here is my altered die card with an Easter bonnet.

I started with the Rose Basket Marianne Die.

To make the basket look more like a bonnet, I added back in the little pieces that were cut out! Boy THAT was fun! LOL! I then taped the back so that they would stay in. Then I cut off the handle and decorated it with little die cut flowers and a bow!

The second die I used was the Memory Box Small Alder Tree.

I snipped off a few pieces here and there to make it look more like a branch for my bird.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful and blessed day!
