Butterfly Pop -Up

I love cards that do something so at the Cuttlebug Spot this week the challenge is to make a pop-up card. I used the circle flower cuttlebug folder to emboss the yellow background that the butterfly is on. I love these bright colors. It has been spring-like here so I am ushering it in as best I can! LOL! You can see the challenge by clicking here -- http://www.thecuttlebugspot.blogspot.com/

Chocolate, Teal and Pink

This week at Cat's Pajamas the challenge is to use these three colors -- chocolate, teal and pink. I love these colors together. I had this lovely patterned paper with just those colors and ribbon to match! I pop-dotted the die cut and stamped the poodle and colored him brown. I used pink glitter for his fur. I used a Fiskars border punch to make the border at the bottom and then pop-dotted one of the flowers. Please click here to see the challenge. http://dancinginpajamas.blogspot.com/

House of Blues

Hi bloggers! It is a very nice day outside today. I hope you are having a nice day. This is my entry to the Impression Obsession March challenge. We were to work with the color blue. I used their house stamp, cut it out and pop-dotted it. I then cut out the left side of the house, the barrel and the plant at the top window to the right and pop-dotted those to add more dimension. I used blue and green Flower Soft on the flowers. This was a fun challenge. I don't use blue a lot, but I like it. I need to use it more. Looking Forward to Spring!

Spring is right around the corner, YEAH! I have been working on some Easter cards. The weather here has been spring -like so it has inspired me. I just love these lops by Embossing Arts. The paper is from DCWV. I have been using a lot of it lately. I used a Martha Stewart  lace corner and border punch for the frame. The butterfly is a layered sticker. I hope everyone is having a great day. I will be 70 here today. Whooo - hooo!

Stamp A Tag

This is my third post today and my last! I have made a tag for the Simon Says Show and Stamp a Tag  challenge. I used DCWV paper -- my favorite lately. I stamped an Impression Obsession flourish on the upper right hand corner. The bunny was stamped and cut out and pop-dotted at the bottom. I really enjoyed this challenge. You can see it by clicking here -- http://simonsaysstampandshow.blogspot.com/

Donut Bliss

The House Mouse challenge this week is to stamp our favorite House Mouse! That is a tuffy since I like them all!  I guess this one is my favorite since it can be used for many things, AND who doesn't like donuts? You can click here to see the challenge --  http://housemouse-challenge.blogspot.com/

I glittered the donut to make it look like frosting. The top border was made using a Martha Stewart punch. I did paper piecing on the cup cake and used my crimping tool on the bottom of the cupcake.

Winter Haven Cards

As you saw below I have been participating in Stamp Haven's Winter Have challenges this week. Here are 2 more that I made. The first card was for the Spring Card challenge and we had to have some 3-D on it. I handmade the pansies and pop-dotted them on the card. The lops are pop-dotted and I added ribbon to the basket handle and on the female lop! I used the beautiful DCWV paper. I will be making more Easter cards with it!

The second card was for the Get Inspired challenge. We had 4 pictures to choose from for our inspiration. I choose the bedspread because I had the perfect hero Arts stamp to go with the pattern on the bedspread. You can click here to see it . http://www.stamphaven.com/forum/index.php?topic=2860.0

Chocolate and Blue

At Cat's Pajama's the challenge this week is inspiration from 2 pictures and colors chocolate and blue. You can see the challenge here -- http://dancinginpajamas.blogspot.com/. I used round punches to punch the cuttled circles that I then glued on brown card stock. The white die cut is a Nellie's frames die. The blue scallop is a Quik Cutz die. I stamped the cat and tree in brown. The snowflakes were punched and glitter was added to them.

Tri-Fold Valentine

At the Cuttlebug Spot the challenge is to make a tri-fold Valentine. I used the Heart Dotted Swiss cuttlebug embossing folder on the front of the card and stamped 2 valentines, cut them out and pop dotted them on the front. On the inside I used a Matilda stamp. I love this stamp -- she is so sweet! I used the same hearts on the last panel that I used on the front. The white hearts border was made by using a Martha Stewart punch. The card stock I used is from K&Co. -- my favorite! Here is the link to the challenge -- http://thecuttlebugspot.blogspot.com/

May Your Weeds be Flowers

At JustRite Stamps we also had a sketch to follow for the challenge this week. You can see the sketch here-
http://justritestampers.typepad.com/. I used the JustRite saying stamp -- "May All Your Weeds Be Flowers".
I pop dotted the saying in the green circle. I used a cuttlebug label and highlighted the embossed areas in green and placed green rhinestones across the middle. To the left of the label I added 3 white roses. I just love these flowers. A Martha Stewart lace punch was used to make the lacy border at the bottom of the card. All my papers are from K&Co. which I also love.

Happy Birthday

This is my Cat's Pajamas challenge card for this week.  We had a sketch to follow and I decided to use this sassy cat for a birthday card. You can see the sketch here -- http://dancinginpajamas.blogspot.com/.  I used the paisley cuttlebug folder on the pink background. The round circle is a Nellie Frames die. I used 3 strips of matching decorative paper on the right side of the card. I pop dotted the Happy Birthday over the strips and added a silk flower and ribbon. Pink rhinestones were used for the cat's eyes and along the right side of the card.

I Am Back!

You haven't seen much activity on my blog recently. I have been away seeing family while my husband and 2 sons have been climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro! I am pleased and proud to say that all 3 of them made it to the top! While I was gone I shopped and stamped. I did not want to take my whole craft room with me, ( but it felt like I did ), so I bought this neat K&Co. Tag Pad at Michael's. I have had such fun with it! It is easy-peasy to make a card using it. I just cut the tags in two for the front of my card and went from there. I scanned a picture of the tag pad and the 2 cards I made using the tags. Then I found a pad of K&Co. flowers that punch out and of course they coordinate with their lovely papers. I used the roses from that pad on the last card. You punch out the different sizes of flowers and layer them. I had to scan these cards since my husband took my camera as a backup! I have had such a time with this. My scanner is acting up. Grrrrrr!  I will be glad to get my camera back! LOL!
