Perfect Pair

Hi and welcome to my blog. I want to show you a valentine card I made using the Just For Fun Cake With Candles large stamp and the Perfect Pair saying stamp. Just For Fun has just the right stamps to help make your valentines!

I chose the fun stripped patterned paper for y background that also had hearts on it. I used Diamond Glaze on them to make them shine as you will see in the next photo. I stamped the image and cut it out using the Nellie Snellon doily die. This was attached to the pink Spellbinders small die circle. I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers and added Sparkle embossing powder ( courtesy of Sparkle N Sprinkle ) to the cake icing. Yellow Stickles glitter was added to the candle flames. I edged the die, patterned paper and banners with pink dye based ink.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Please come join the Just For Fun Sweet Nothings challenge here. We would love to see your creations and you may also win a gift certificate to the store! Have a great day!

Merry Christmouse!

Hi Everyone! I hope you are having a good day. I have been trying to make Christmas cards all through the year so that I will have them all finished by December, so I want to show you this Christmas card I made using this cute House Mouse.

This year I am also trying to use up more of my stash. I found this pretty snowflake already die cut. It is the Dazzling Snowflake die from Memory Box. I ran it through my dotted swiss embossing folder and adhered it to my red card base. The image was colored with Spectrum Noir markers, fussy cut and pop dotted to the card. I punched 3 snowflakes and added Stickles glitter to them and also to the steam in the cup. You can see the sparkle better here in this picture.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope your day is wonderful!

Love Cats

Hello Everyone! Today I want to show you a card I made using these sweet Stamptangle Cats from Just For Fun.  Valentine's Day is quickly approaching. Have you made your  Valentine's yet?  If not, maybe this will inspire you to start.

I started with embossing my card base using a heart embossing folder and then I  matted it on black card stock. I cut the frame using the Orchard Tree frame from Memory Box and used a heart punch for the hearts on the tree. I stamped the cats on red card stock, embossed them with black embossing powder and then colored some areas with a white colored pencil. The whole frame was pop dotted to the card base.

I would like to invite you to join our January Anything Goes challenge at Just For Fun stamps. You still have a few more days. You can view all the details here. We would love to see your wonderful creations.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great day!

Black and White

Hi and welcome to my blog! I have been trying to use up some of my old stuff in my stash and I found this neat velvety zebra print paper. I used it for the background of my zebra image.

I stamped the zebra using black pigment ink and added Ebony Spark embossing powder from Sparkle N Sprinkle. You can see the sparkle more in this picture.

I cut out the image using Spellbinders Labels 4 die and added interest to this shape by cutting into it with Tim Holtz's Alterations Collection die. The leaves are from Memory Box - Fresh Foliage.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Winter Wonderland

Hi and welcome to my blog. I am glad you stopped by today. I want to show you a card I made using the Snowy Park stamp from Penny Black. We had a winter wonderland a couple of weeks ago and then we had spring weather. I know winter will come back. Our weather here in the south is so unpredictable!

I cut out the image using Spellbinders small oval die and sponged a little blue and purple Distress inks for the sky. Olaf White glitter from Sparkle N Sprinkle was used on the snowflake punch and trees and ground of the image. The image was layered on decorative Spellbinders dies and then layered on patterned paper. Blue rhinestones added the finishing touch.

Thanks again for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful and blessed day!

Bits and Bobs #2

Hi Everyone! This is my second "bits and bobs" card made with bits and pieces of things in my stash. I found some pigment markers at Target one day last year and decided to try them out. I colored these  masked crazy birds and loved the effect! I cut a strip from a piece of patterned paper and added it to the bottom of the card along with this small flower die from Spellbinders.. To finish the card I adhered a few enamel dots.

Thinking of You

Hi and welcome to my blog! I hope you are having a good day. I want to show you the card I made using my new Snowy Pine small stamp and the Peeling Paint Frame from Just For Fun.

I started with the frame and masked the trees. The frame was water colored to look like wood. I added white Liquid Applique and stickles glitter to the trees.

The snowflakes are stickers and stickles glitter was also applied to them.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Come join us in the January challenge that we have going on now at Just For Fun. You do not have to use a Just For Fun stamp, but if you do your name will go in the drawing twice! We would love to see your creative projects!

Happy Stamping!

Enjoy Your Day

Hi! I am glad you stopped by today. I always love using the House Mouse stamps and isn't this little "Happy Hopper" cute!

I used some new supplies that I bought around Christmas time.  The gift border is a new Memory Box die. I used my new Spetrum Noir  amethyst sparkle pen on it to liven it up. I used my new Spectrum Noir pink garnet sparkle pen to color the ice cream. The saying came from another set of House Mouse stamps.

Thanks again for stopping by. I hope you enjoy your day!

Vintage Flowers

Hi and welcome to my blog! Of course all my flowers are gone except for my pansies, but I am showing a flower card I made today from this picture inspiration from Altenew. Aren't these lovely flowers and colors?  These flowers look like snow and we have snow in the forecast today!

Here is my card. I used the Altenew Vintage Flowers set and stamped the flowers with white pigment ink. The ink tends to soak into the card stock so I colored over the flowers again with a white colored pencil. I used Gold Liquid Pearls for the flower centers.

The saying came from the Altenew layered Lily set. I embossed the saying with gold embossing powder and outlined the "thanks" with a black marker.

I flicked some gold metallic paint across the card for interest and then added the bow and butterfly. The twig was outlined with a gold metallic marker.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you are enjoying the new year so far!

Bits and Bobs #1

Hi and welcome to my blog. I hope you had a Happy New Year! I am starting off this new year with a new ongoing project on my blog. It is called Bits and Bobs! Have you ever heard of this term? While I was on a tour in Europe we had a delightful British tour guide who used this term quite a bit and I loved hearing her say it. The term "bits and bobs" in the UK means the same as bits and pieces here in the US. A bit was a 3 cent coin and a bob was a shilling worth 8 1/2 cents.

Like so many of us I have sooooo many scraps, stamped images, die cuts and bits and bobs that I need to whittle down and use! So it is my goal this year to use a lot of stuff I have in my stash already! So every first and third Thursday of each month I plan to make a card using stuff in my stash. One of the challenges I am entering is called Get Creative so lets get creative with our scraps! I would love to see you here and I hope I can inspire you to use some of your bits and bobs too!

This is my first bits and bobs card. I made this background awhile back using a stencil and my pump spray machine. I found this cute little bear in my image pile and thought he would go well with the background. I do not know the stamp company for this bear. I used an xacto knife to cut one of the trees and added the bear behind it. I also used a cuttlebug tag die I had cut a long time ago and stamped the saying from Hero Arts. Olaf White glitter from Sparkle N Sprinkle was added to the trees.

You can see the glitter better here in this close up.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Happy New Year! I hope 2017 will be full of  fun creativity for you.

I would like to enter these challenges!
