Bio.

I have been drawing since a child and studied graphics at College many years ago, I now work as a Medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4yrs ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but I’m afraid I got the bug! My daughter preferred scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with like minded people.

I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not find what I wanted so I started to draw myself. This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back, I love thinking of new images, and its just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful works of art. Long may it continue!

I went with the "rainbow" theme for my card. Rainbow colors make me think of birthdays, so I decided to make a birthday card. I had this background in my stash where I used a numbers stencil and the Crayola marker pump to spray the colors over the stencil.

Many Ways to Color #20 - Finger Daubers

Hi and welcome to my blog! I realized when getting ready to make my card that I did not have much to color with! We are in the process of moving and I have packed up a lot of my crafting stuff. If there is a will there's a way, right?  I saw that my finger daubers were still left out, so I decided to color with those! I stamped the pumpkin stamp and just used my finger daubers that had ink left on them. I did not use my ink pads. This was fast and easy and the colors blended so well. This method of coloring works best when using a stamp that is large and basically one color. I will color this way more often now!

A cloud stencil was used to make the sky and again I used finger daubers to color it and the leaves.

Happy Birthday

Hi and welcome to my blog. I am showing a card today that I made for the Penny Black Saturday challenge. The challenge is anything goes or choose 3 things from the bingo card. I chose sentiment, Penny Black stamped image and the color orange.

I pulled out a gelli background from my stash. I stamped the cute Penny black image, colored it with alcohol markers and fussy cut it to place on the background. The saying is a sticker.

Layered Die

Hi and welcome to my blog. Today I am showing a card I made for the Die Cut Diva's challenge - Layered Dies. You could use a layered die set or layer a die over another die. I used the background die set called Elsa by Creative Expression. I had the bird image in my stash and added it to the front along with white cord. The image and border were cut with the Spellbinders small circles die set.The image is from the Royal King stamp company.

Hi and welcome to my blog. I have been making Christmas cards all through the year so that I won't be crunched right before the season. I am also getting ready to move, so I am glad my cards are done. On this card I used the Hero Arts village stamp and stamped with navy ink. I also used the Memory Box Orchard Tree Frame and Background die. This die makes a pretty shaped card. The saying is a sticker. Rhinestones were added to look like falling snow.

This is one of my favorite Fall House Mouse stamps! It just cracks me up. I pulled a background from my stash where I had used translucent embossing paste with a leaf stencil and then I added sparkly embossing powders to it and heat set it.

Many Ways to Color #19 - Colored pencils and Gamsol

Hi and welcome to my blog! Another way I like to color is using colored pencils and Gamsol (mineral spirits). The Gamsol helps to blend the pencil colors and gives a nice soft look. 

I pulled out a background from my stash that I made using a gelli plate. I then stamped the maple leaf on it and added gold embossing powder. I fussy cut the pumpkin stack and pop dotted it to the card front.

Stencil Fun

Hi and welcome to my blog! I love using stencils on my cards. At Simon Says Wednesday challenge the challenge is called Stencil Fun. I had a lot of fun stenciling on this card. I used a flower stem stencil. First I used the smoosh technique to color the card stock using blue and green Distress inks. After the background dried, I laid the flower stem stencil over it and wiped through the stencil with a baby wipe to lift off some color. After that dried I went back, laid the stencil down again and sponged on some purple Distress ink. I love the look that this technique gave.
