Bio.

I have been drawing since a child and studied graphics at College many years ago, I now work as a Medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4yrs ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but I’m afraid I got the bug! My daughter preferred scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with like minded people.

I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not find what I wanted so I started to draw myself. This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back, I love thinking of new images, and its just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful works of art. Long may it continue!

I pulled a background I had made from my stash for this card. I patted a Versa Mark clear ink pad over the flat areas of the embossing folder and ran it through the machine. I applied green sparkle embossing powder over the card and heat set it. The leaves and flowers were colored using Distress inks and water.

Out With the New and in With the Old #16

 Here is my second beach card I made using old wooden stamps. I pulled out a background that I found in my stash where I had used a brayer on glossy cardstock. 

Years ago I was with my friend at a stamp store and was looking for a beach cabanas stamp. She spied one for me and I think the stamp is so neat! I am so glad I got to use it on this card. The stamp actually has three cabanas on it, but I just stamped part of the stamp to fit on this card.

 I am enjoying using my old wooden stamps! Finally using them is much better than looking at them displayed across the room. Ha! My cards this month are beach themed. I love this seagull stamp. I used a background stamp for the water. The stamp is actually supposed to look like distressed paper, but I think it works great for ocean waves as well.

This little mousey is keeping cool the very best way! I love an ice cold lemonade in the summer. 

I made a torn paper look background by masking off torn strips of Masking Magic, blending colors with a sponge and then stamping a crackle stamp over top. When you remove the strips this is the result!
