Many Ways to Color #10

Hi and welcome to my blog. I pulled out my chalks that I have not used in ages to color the birds on my card today. I really enjoyed coloring with chalks again. I loved the way they blended so well. I found a background in my stash where I had stamped a plaid background with white acrylic paint and then blended on some ink colors. I used the die that went with the birds to cut out the image and then adhered the birds onto the background.

I am using an old stamp today. I love these cute Happy Hoppers by House Mouse. Ice cream is a great way to keep cool on a hot summer day! He better eat it quickly before it melts! I used a layering stencil behind the image that looks like sunrays. It reminds me of those mid summer days, so sizzling hot and humid!

Many Ways to Color #9

Hi and welcome to my blog. I am using a different way to color today called pointillism. Pointillism was originated by two artists, Georges Seurat and Paul Signac in the mid 1880s. I love the unique look of this technique. However, I would not want to paint this way on a big project! LOL! I used the nib point on my markers to tap little dots on the poppy that my good stamping friend gave me.

Hi and welcome to my blog. Today I have made a card using a Hero Arts floral stamp and a fun technique. I stamped the the image and then colored it in using a white colored pencil. The pencil caused a resist when I sponged colors over the image.

I decided to use a kit with my stamp that had been lying on my desk for awhile. The kit had a flower stencil in it, perfect to use for the theme! First I used 2 colors of purple ink on the stencil and then added clear glitter paste on top, that was also in the kit.
