Hi Everyone! Welcome to my blog. I want to show you a card I made where I did a lot of altering. I have always enjoyed making cards with bits and pieces of things left over from other projects. I went through my stacks of leftovers and this time I also altered many of the pieces. First, here is the picture of things I found in my stash.
I altered the embossed background piece by sponging on Distress Peeled Paint ink. I used clear embossing powder on the Spellbinders frame to enhance it and to make it stiffer since it was cut from patterned paper.

I cut the flower from the second tag and pop dotted it over the first flower and added gold Stickles to the center. I used Brown Fizz embossing powder from Sparkle N Sprinkle on the Spellbinder swirl dies.
I also altered the bird die by adding the Brown Fizz embossing powder to them.
I had a lot of fun making this card with bits and pieces and doing some altering. A lot of times I do not think to alter something so this helped me to go outside my box.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Nicely done and so creative.... love using those scraps of things!
Looks like you had a wonderful time making a beautiful project out of scraps - that gives such a happy feeling! Love the finished project April. Who makes the birds on a wire die?
Great idea and a great looking card. It reminds me that I need to go through my excess pieces more often.
Shona, the birds are from Impression Obsession.
