Christmas Tag

Hi Everyone! Welcome to my blog. I know a lot of us are very busy with Christmas shopping, wrapping presents, parties and such. I want to show you a tag I made today using 2 of Tim Holtz's techniques that you can see here.

I cut a piece of burlap and used Tim Holtz's snowflake stencil over it. I sprayed on color using Fired Brick Distress spray. I then adhered the burlap piece to the tag. I used Tim Holtz's letterpress system for the word "happiness,"  as seen above. I flicked white gesso over green card stock and punched out the evergreen leaves and added the paper poinsettia. The green plaid strip at the top is a piece of washi tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you are enjoying this Christmas season!

Joy

Hi Everyone! My Christmas season has started off with a bang. How about yours? I have had many Christmas activities stacked up one after the other. I am enjoying it and I hope you are enjoying this joyful season as well. Here a tag I made I call joy. I started by cutting burlap into the shape of the tag, adhering double sided sticky paper to the tag and then sticking the burlap onto it. I used Tim Holtz's sweater stencil and sprayed the burlap with Fired Brick Distress spray.

I stamped Tim Holtz's tree from the Just Believe stamp set, fussy cut it and pop dotted it to the tag. I added a deer svg die and a burlap poinsettia. I made the pine cones by cutting circles with my deco scissors and rolling them up. To finish the tag I added Stickles Diamond glitter on the tree, antlers  and pine cones.

Thanks so much for stopping by. have a wonderful and blessed day!

Oh Christmas Tree

Hello and welcome to my blog. I am happy you stopped by today! I want to show you a Christmas card I made using the Christmas tree stamp from the Just Believe stamp set by Stamper's Anonymous. I made my own background by using a gingham background stamp, stamping with Fired Brick Distress ink and stamping on kraft card stock.

The theme for my Christmas tree at my house is "outdoors". I have all kinds of animals and outdoor ornaments on my tree. For this tree on my card I added White Liquid Applique to the branches along with Clear Rock Candy Distress glitter to add sparkle.

To add some interest to the deer I used a snowflake embossing folder.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Up and Away

Hi Everyone! I hope you are enjoying your day. It is very hot and humid outside today so I am staying in where it is cool! I want to show you a tag I made using a hot air balloon. If you have never been up in one you need to try it sometime. It is an awesome experience. I went on a fall day and we were cruising right along over the beautiful treetops!

I made the background by dropping reinkers on a hard sponge and swiping the sponge on the tag vertically and horizontally. I then spritzed the background with water a little to make the colors run.

I used a Tim Holtz script rub on and another design rub on and adhered an Idea-ology gear to it. The balloon was stamped on a Spellbinders die using Distress Faded Jeans ink. I used a water brush to move the color around a little.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

Vintage Tag

Hi Everyone! I hope you are having a good day. I want to show you a vintage tag I made. I love the vintage look and I had this stamped photo image from a swap that is perfect to use for this theme.

I colored the girl's dress using a pink Sharpie marker since the image was stamped on glossy card stock. I pounced some Tea Dye Distress ink over the image for it to look old and sponged the edges of the shape with black Staz On ink. The shape was cut using Spellbinders Labels 20 die.

On the side I used white matte stencil paste and a butterfly stencil. While the paste was wet I added blue glitter embossing powder and heat set it. This dried the paste at the same time.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful and blessed day!
