Shabby Chic #6

Hi and welcome to my blog! The Easter season is upon us! I want to show you a shabby chic Easter card I made with a beautiful stamp from Paper Inspirations. I bought this stamp a few years ago from a store that sold all kinds of things. She had a small display with wooden stamps. When I saw this stamp I just had to have it! The frame around the stamp is Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangle. I added the die at the top from Yvonne Creations called Flower Swing. The butterfly is by Cheery Lynn Designs. I found some small felt doilies in my stash, cut one in half and added them behind the first layer.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a blessed Easter!

Peppermint Christmas

Merry Christmas! I hope you have been enjoying this Christmas season. I want to show you a Christmas card I made using some of Just For Fun's new stamps.

I took a blue inked background and added some sticker snowflakes to it and cut a window from brown distressed paper using a Memory Box die. I adhered it over the blue background and added it to the green checkered paper. I stamped the new Canning Jar sm. stamp on acetate and fussy cut it. I stamped the new Peppermint Candies 1 using red ink , fussy cut them and placed them behind the jar. I adhered the jar to the window. A paper doily was placed under the window. The saying is from the Sentiments 1 unmounted sheet.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

I wish all of you a Blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Tea Party

Hi Everyone! Welcome to my blog. I hope you are enjoying your day. I want to share a card I made using one of my teapot stamps. I love tea parties, teapots and teacups. I got the inspiration for my card from this beautiful photo from The Shabby Tea Room. Wouldn't this teapot make a lovely table centerpiece?

I stamped  my teapot with pink ink, fussy cut it and covered it with Glossy Accents to make it look like porcelain. TIP: When fussy cutting it helps to cut away large pieces of paper to give you room to cut better. I also turn my paper as I cut to help the "flow" of the scissors. The leaves were cut from the Memory box die - Fresh Foliage.

I added Stickles Icicles glitter glue to all the flowers.

The bow is made from seam binding that I dyed by using Distress Tumbled Glass ink.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a great day!
