Just For Fun April Challenge

Hi and welcome to my blog. Just For Fun's challenge this month is to add lace to your card. I used the Cake With Candles stamp. You can see the other fun birthday stamps here .

I stamped the cake on the dotted patterned paper, colored it with colored pencils and added Sprinkled Sugar Stickles on the icing. I colored the plate with alcohol markers and applied Diamond Glaze to make the plate look like ceramic.

I added lace for the tablecloth. The saying was stamped underneath. I added pink sticker stars and black rhinestones for interest.

I hope that you will join in the fun challenge this month. You might even win a gift certificate to the store!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

Shabby Chic #14

Hi and welcome to my blog! Today I am showing another shabby chic card using bits and pieces from my stash.

I found the lamp stamp in a bag of images that came from a swap that I was in a few years ago! The stamp is unknown. I colored it with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and placed it in the frame that was cut using the Memory Box Botanical Frame die. I placed the frame on top of a torn page that came from an old book. The edges were sponged using Gathered Twigs Distress Ink. I used a large round punch for the Sparkle N Sprinkle saying. Buttons, ribbon and lace were added for embellishment.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

Bits and Bobs #20

Hi! I hope you are having a good day. I want to show you a bits and bobs Fall card I made. I have been finding some interesting things in my stash since I started this bits and bobs series this year! I found a pattern book for paper piercing that was written in Swedish! Now my friends will tell you that paper piercing is NOT what I like to do, but I searched through this book and found a simple pattern and endured to the end! LOL! I laid the pattern over green card stock and placed them on a mouse pad so that I could poke holes with a pin.

This process is time consuming so that is why I used this simple frame pattern. I liked how it turned out.

I sponged on a little Distress Vintage Photo ink over the top of the piercing so that it would stand out a little more.

The gourds ( Just For Fun ) and leaf ( Rubber Stampede ) were already stamped and embossed in my stash, so I fussy cut them and pop dotted them in the frame. I added old rhinestones and a lace border to finish the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by. It is time to get all those Fall cards made. I hope I have inspired you to make some using your old and interesting stuff! Have a wonderful day!

Bits and Bobs #7

Hi Everyone! Welcome to my blog. Today I am showing another bits and bobs card. While rummaging through my myriad of stuff, I came across a handful of lovely napkins that I had saved to use some day! LOL! Well, today is the day. These napkins have been in my stash for a very long time! So the background on my card is the napkin that I laid over white card stock that had been sprayed with glue adhesive. I found this butterfly stamped image in my image pile that exactly matched the background! The saying was in a sticker book that I did not remember I had. I added a piece of old lace to the bottom as well as some pearls. I have been using a lot of sequins on my cards lately, so I found these pearls to use instead.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my bits and bobs card today. Maybe it will inspire you to dig through your stash to see what fun things you discover!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a blessed day!

Vintage Tag

Hi Everyone! I hope you are having a good day. I want to show you a vintage tag I made. I love the vintage look and I had this stamped photo image from a swap that is perfect to use for this theme.

I colored the girl's dress using a pink Sharpie marker since the image was stamped on glossy card stock. I pounced some Tea Dye Distress ink over the image for it to look old and sponged the edges of the shape with black Staz On ink. The shape was cut using Spellbinders Labels 20 die.

On the side I used white matte stencil paste and a butterfly stencil. While the paste was wet I added blue glitter embossing powder and heat set it. This dried the paste at the same time.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful and blessed day!
