It's A Party

Hi and welcome to my blog! I can't believe it is almost time to say goodbye to 2015! This year really went by fast for me. We are thinking of all those New Year's Eve's parties coming up so here is a card I made using altered dies. I will be starting a series on altered dies in 2016 and will post on the first and third Thursdays of each month. I have been going through my dies and looking at different ways to use them than normal. I hope you will check in often and maybe this will help you to see different ways you can use your dies too.

On this card I used the Perfect Petals dies that Spellbinders made for Heartfelt Creations. I made these petal dies into a party mask!

I started with these dies.

The glittered pieces are ones I cut from sticker paper and then added Impulsive Purple glitter to them courtesy of Sparkle N Sprinkle.

I then put my pieces together to form the mask. The first Thursday in January I will have another altered die to show you. I hope you will come back for a peek at it. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day and a Happy New Year!

Joy

Hi Everyone! My Christmas season has started off with a bang. How about yours? I have had many Christmas activities stacked up one after the other. I am enjoying it and I hope you are enjoying this joyful season as well. Here a tag I made I call joy. I started by cutting burlap into the shape of the tag, adhering double sided sticky paper to the tag and then sticking the burlap onto it. I used Tim Holtz's sweater stencil and sprayed the burlap with Fired Brick Distress spray.

I stamped Tim Holtz's tree from the Just Believe stamp set, fussy cut it and pop dotted it to the tag. I added a deer svg die and a burlap poinsettia. I made the pine cones by cutting circles with my deco scissors and rolling them up. To finish the tag I added Stickles Diamond glitter on the tree, antlers  and pine cones.

Thanks so much for stopping by. have a wonderful and blessed day!

Tangled

Hi Everyone! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year. I suspect most of you have taken down the tree decorations, but these cuties remind me of me getting tangled up in the lights. No matter if I am putting up the lights or taking them down, I am all tangled up! LOL! This is one of the newer released stamp set called Brighten the Holidays 663 from Sparkle N Sprinkle.

I used an svg file for the tree. I then added White Liquid Applique around the edges, added Sparkling Snow glitter G1003 and heat set it to make it puffy like snow. I used a small hole punch and punched holes in the tree, layered the tree pieces onto sticker paper and added Gypsy Red velvet glitter GM2005.

I stamped the image, colored it with copics, fussy cut it and pop dotted it to the base of the card. Gypsy Red  GM2005, Goldenrod GM2006 and Purple Rain GM2020 velvet glitters were used on the lights in the penguins' hands.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!

Love and Kisses

Hi Everyone! I hope you are having a good day. Christmas is upon us and Valentine's Day is around the corner. Where are these months going? I want to share a card I made using the new Sparkle N Sprinkle Love and Kisses stamp set 676. I loved using the new Die-Versions die, Gents Background. I used Sticker Paper, peeled off the top layer, adhered the die and then added Cerise glitter G1104 to make a sparkly background.

I paper pieced the dress and pants on the image, fussy cut and added Bubblegum glitter G1088 to the hearts at the bottom.

I cut the small  heart from patterned paper and added Black embossing powder EP170.

Sweet Christmas Doves

Hi Everyone!  How are you coming along on those Christmas cards? I still have some to make and Christmas is almost here! I just love this new stamp release set 649 from Sparkle N Sprinkle called Christmas Doves. I think the doves are so sweet!

I love using layers on my cards, so I pulled out quite a few dies to cut out and then pop dotted them on top of each other.

I used sticker paper, peeled off the top layer and added Gypsy Red velvet glitter GM2005 to it before adding the first die. I also ran the base of the card through an embossing folder to give it some texture.

Gypsy Red glitter was also used on the circle. I patted the doves with Versa Mark ink and added Sparkle embossing powder EP107 to them. I also added Sparkling Snow glitter G1003 to the rose. To see full instructions on how to make this card please click here.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a great day and Happy Christmas card making too!

Christmas Doves

Welcome to Sparkle N Sprinkle's November 1 Reveal.

This month FIVE new stamp sets are being introduced.   These sets are 20% off their regular price, until November 3rd.  All the new reveal sets are available on Cling Mounted Rubber and as a digital image.  Finn's Scarf, set #671 is the stamp set featured in  This Month's Technique Video.

The sets are:

Christmas Doves #649   (digi version DIGI649)
Brighten the Holidays #663   (digi version DIGI663)
Finn's Scarf #671  (digi version DIGI671)
Woofie Under the Christmas Tree #672   (digi version DIGI672)
Birthday Friends #673   (digi version DIGI673)

For my card I chose to use the sweet Christmas Doves stamp set. I used the digital format. What is so nice about digitals is that you can make the images any size to fit your project. I have had this embossing folder lying around for some time now with an idea in mind and finally I used it for this card. I used Mirror Silver card stock and swiped the raised areas with Saddle Brown Staz On ink.

Here is the card opened. For the background I used Sticker Paper, peeled off the top layer and added Gypsy Red velvet glitter GM2005 on it. I love the soft velvety look of this glitter.

On the doves I patted Versa Mark ink over them and added Sparkle embossing powder EP107.

A Friend IS....

Hi Everyone! I want to share with you a card I made with the lovely newly released Sparkle N Sprinkle stamp set Beautiful Friendship 665.  Don't you just love the saying?

To make the bottom border on my card, I used a border punch on patterned paper from the Authentique paper bundle Grace. I adhered it to Sticker Paper and added Orchid Rose Velvet glitter GM 2016.  I used Balck Detail embossing powder EP171 on the saying. The bling border is Diamond Mesh Black Silver. I love using this because it adds the right touch!

I colored the flowers using copics, pop dotted them for dimension and added Waterscape glitter G1108 for dew drops. For full instructions on how to make this card, please click here.

Celebrate the Season

Hi Everyone! I want to show you a card I made using the newly released Magic of  the Season stamp set 653 from Sparkle N Sprinkle. Christmas will be here before we know it and it is time to start making Christmas cards! This cute little set is so magical for the Christmas season! The background was made by running white card stock through an embossing folder, swiping the raised areas with Versa Mark ink and adding Sparkle embossing powder EP107. I used the Spellbinders 2012 Holiday Tree die and placed it on Sticker Paper and then added Fascination glitter G1030 to it.

The snowflake is Spellbinders Build a Snowflake. I used a glue pen and added Sparkling Snow glitter G1003 to it and tucked it behind the tree. I used the new Diamond Mesh strips around the edges of the card.

I stamped and fussy cut the hat and pop dotted it to the bottom of the card. I then added White Liquid Applique to make a snow pile and also added some to the hat. Before I heat set it I added in Sparkling Snow glitter. You can click here for further instructions on how to make this card.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope I have given you some inspiration for your Christmas cards. Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Die- Versions/Sparkle N Sprinkle Blog Hop

DV/SNS Blog Hop - Designer's Post

Welcome to the Die-Versions and Sparkle N Sprinkle Blog Hop!

The joint blog hop with Die-Versions and Sparkle N Sprinkle begins today (7am EST) and goes until Aug 17th (5pm EST), so there will be plenty of time to check out all the great projects created by both teams.  The theme is Christmas, so you'll get lots of great inspiration for your upcoming Holiday cards.

Die-Versions manufactures low profile dies made right here in the United States and Sparkle N Sprinkle manufactures rubber stamps, glitters, embossing powders, and flocking, also made in the US.  This is like a match made in heaven - low profile dies combined with lots of bling!  Doesn't get much better than that.

One winner will receive a Grand Prize consisting of a $50 gift certificate from Die-Versions and a $50 gift certificate from Sparkle N Sprinkle, for a total of $100.  The winner will be announced on Aug 17th on both the DV Blog and the SNS Blog as well as their Facebook pages.

In order to be eligible for the Grand Prize, please:
  • Leave a comment on each Designer's blog
  • Follow both companies on Facebook (DV Facebook pageSNS Facebook page) if you haven't already so you can keep up to date on all the latest goings on.   (I'm sure that all of the Designers would love for you to Follow them too, but that isn't a requirement to win this prize.)

You should have arrived here from Archana's blog.  If not, then you should begin at the Die-Versions Blog and end at the Sparkle N Sprinkle Blog.  If you get lost along the way, you can go to either the DV Blog or the SNS Blog to see the complete list of participants.

We'd love it if you'd like to leave a comment at either the DV Blog or the SNS Blog telling us which projects were your favorites.  :-)

Hi Everyone! I am glad you stopped by our blog hop today. I had so much fun making my card with the Die-Versions Winter Cottage and Tis The Season dies. They went perfectly with the Sparkle N Sprinkle  A Winter Wonderland 517 stamp! I stamped the scene, colored it with copics and then cut around the evergreen tree and deer with a craft knife. I then placed the Winter Cottage die behind the tree and deer and it fit perfectly.

I added the Tis The Season die at the bottom of the card. On the evergreen tree and cottage I added white Liquid Applique and sprinkled in some Sparkling Snow glitter G1003 before I heat set it. I added some Sticker Paper 9558 behind the windows and added Lemonade glitter G1091.

Sparkling Snow glitter was also added to the forest trees.

For complete instructions on how to make this card, please click here.

Your next stop on the blog hop is Mayra.

We hope you enjoy this blog hop and it gives you lots of inspiration!  Don't forget to leave each of us a comment and follow both Die-Versions and Sparkle N Sprinkle on Facebook.

I also got to use my new Spellbinders butterfly background die. I adhered the die to sticky paper, added the new Flamingo embossing powder EP452 to it and heat set it.

The beautiful silhouette stamp was stamped with Versa Mark ink , the Flamingo embossing powder was added to the image and heat set.  Pink, black and white is one of my favorite color combinations too. I added the saying to a little tag and secured it with a bow.

Christmas in March

Hi Everyone! I want to show you a Christmas card I made with one of Sparkle N Sprinkle's new release stamp sets - A Winter Cardinal 518. March has been so up and down weather wise that at times it has felt like Christmas!  I used Glistening Emeralds Sparkle N Soft SS102 on the pine needles and Brown Fizz embossing powder EP381 on the frame. Gold embossing powder EP169 was used on the saying. I wanted to add a more distressed look, so I pounced a scrungy sponge tool on a Versa Mark ink pad, then pounced that on the circle, added the gold embossing powder and heat set.

On the silk poinsettia I used White Liquid Applique and added Sparkling Snow glitter G1003 to it.

The pine cones were made by using deco scissors, cutting around in a circle and then rolling up the circle. I also added White Applique and Sparkling Snow glitter the them. To see full instructions on how to make this card please click here.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope your day is great!

Winter's Memory

Welcome to Sparkle N Sprinkle's March 1 Reveal

This month we are featuring five versatile stamp sets.
Two of the sets are perfect for Christmas.
Many of our customers said they promise themselves to make Christmas cards a little bit each month, all year long, but they fail to find the time. So this month's technique kit uses the pretty Red Cardinal drawn by Rosiland Solomon.

The Winter Cardinal stamp set is available by itself on line.
It is also included in Jazzy Jill's Technique Video for the month.

The first of the month also means a new challenge at SNS Creative Challenges where the theme is always
"Anything Goes with Loose Glitter, Embossing Powder and/or Flocking."

I made my card using the Crystal Medallion stamp set. This medallion looks like a beautiful snowflake.  I have titled my post Winter's Memory but some of us are still in winter! Boy, we have had a brutal one this year! I hope this card inspires you to start on some of your next year's Christmas cards. I have made a goal of making three Christmas cards a month. This sure helps when the crunch of Christmas activities start!

I stamped the medallion three times, added Blue Silver embossing powder and fussy cut different sized layers. I pop dotted them and added Fascination glitter to the edges. Rhinestones and a sparkly pearl were added as embellishments. For further instructions on how to make this card, please click here.

Five Winners (one for each new stamp set) will be selected by Random.org during the Designers Mystery Party. Winners will also get to choose one Glitter and one Embossing Powder to go with their new stamp set.

How the Mystery Party works:

On Five of the participating blogs below, a Commenter will be selected to receive the prize
