Technique Tuesday -- Julie's Technique

Hi, and welcome to the Sparkle N Sprinkle Technique Tuesday! I am sorry I am a little late posting today. I hope you had a wonderful Easter! We had a beautiful Easter here.  I am calling this technique , " Julie's Technique"  in honor of a sweet lady who was in our local stamp club. She passed away several years ago with cancer. I always think of her when I do this technique.

Supplies:
  1. brayer
  2. multicolored ink pad. I used Kaleidacolor Creole Spice
  3. Jet Black Staz On ink pad
  4. white glossy cardstock
  5. Marvy Metallic pen -- copper
  6. water spritzer
Ink up brayer rolling it across the multicolored ink pad.  Spritz the inked brayer with water.  Now dab the copper marker on the inked brayer.

Roll brayer over the glossy cardstock going in one direction. You should be able to roll the brayer over another piece again with the remaining ink to get a lighter look. Here are some that I made using the same color inks.

Here are some other pieces using a different multi-colored ink pads.

This is such an easy technique with neat results. This background is great for building scenes! I hope you will try this fun technique . Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! I hope to see you back next Tuesday for a really pretty background technique that I just learned!

April, this is totally awesome. I have a brayer sitting in the drawer that's never been used. Thank you for the inspiration.
