Christmas Tag

Hi Everyone! I know many of us are scrambling around getting Christmas things done. The outside of my house has decorations, but we still need to get out the Christmas tree. I went shopping today at our annual Holiday Fair and boy that will put you in the holiday spirit! I came home with a trunk full of items! I want to share a Christmas tag I made yesterday. I used a piece of clear acetate, ran it through a snowflake embossing folder, then dabbed Picket Fence ink on the indented side of each snowflake. I let the ink dry some and then wiped the excess off and the white ink stayed in the indented areas. I added the embossed acetate piece over a blue sprayed background and stitched around the edges.

The deer is a Tim Holtz Sizzix die and the lamp post was cut using an svg cutting file. I WON an eclips 2 die cutter a few months back! What a fun surprise! I have really enjoyed using it so far. The snowflake is a foam sticker that I added Stickle's glitter to.

To the bottom I added Moon Rise Glitter Tinsel from Sparkle N Sprinkle! Don't you just love the shimmer?

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas season!

This is so pretty April! The acetate is a grand idea. as is the stitching it to the blue sprayed backround..

You lucky girl...what a treat it must have been to win that cutting system. Your dies are lovely and look great on your tag.

Sorry I have been away from visiting for so long. Life just got in the way. Some blasted further health issues (more of the same old some old...) and we sold our house and bought a new one over by the grandkids.

We have wanted to do that for a couple of years now so it feels good to have finally found one. We move Jan 23...my craft room is 2/3 packed and I am going to just leave card kits i have made up to get me through till March or so when I hope my new room will be unpacked and organized.

I agreed to take over the Rudolph Day challenge starting Jan 25, 2015. Hope to see you stop by myblog for it as the January prize is a lovely Xmas Memory Box die! I will post the rules early in Jan and it will be just one card...anything goes as long as it is Xmas themed.
