Hi and welcome to my blog! I am showing a card I made for two challenges today - Penny Black (Embellish It) and Double Trouble (Scrapper's Gorp). There are three parts to the challenge at Double Trouble and this time I used all three - (mixed patterns, sketch and paper piecing).
The paper piecing was harder than I thought because there was a pattern on the balloon stamp. I covered the balloon design with scrap paper and then inked it up. That left just the outline of the balloon inked. Then I stamped the balloon onto snowflake patterned paper. I used washi tape and red enamel dots for my embellishments.
Embossing Folder: Snowflakes - Cuttlebug
Die: Labels 4 - Spellbinders
Washi Tapes
Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers
Red Enamel Dots
Striped Patterned Paper
Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you are enjoying this Christmas season!

Fabulous make April. That little kitten looks adorable sleeping with the balloon. Nice addition of the washi tape.
Oh so cute and I do love the layering of your washi tape too, you got a very good impression with your embossing!
Love your selection of GORP and the adorable kitten likes her pieced balloon... seems like quite a technique on your piecing of the balloon, but great job. Thanks for sharing with us at Double Trouble and your interpretation of TSOT sketch is perfect. Adorable and fun card.
Awww, very sweet! Love the look on kitty's face. The embossed BG is purr-fect!
Love your kitty, April! Your papers and textured background are perfect. Thank you for joining us at Double Trouble #126.
I love those white on white snowflakes! You played so well with the sketch and the gorp challenge too! Thanks for joining us at Double Trouble :)
April, your cat holiday card is so cute! I love how you chose a pattern paper for the balloon that follows the snowflake theme of your embossed background panel!! Thank you for sharing your card and talents with us at Double Trouble for our "GORP" challenge!!! -Donna
