Patterned Paper #19

Hi Everyone! Welcome to my blog. I am showing another card where I used my patterned paper scraps. With all these patterned paper cards I have made I still have not made a dent in my scrap papers! LOL! I love this time of year with all the wonderful Fall colors. I hope that the trees will be pretty around here this year.

I found this frame from Memory Box that I had already cut out. I punched the leaves from various patterned paper scraps. The saying is from Just For Fun Stamps and the owl stamps are from Darcie. The owls were colored using alcohol markers.

Thanks so much for popping in. I hope you have a fabulous day!

Patterned Paper #18

Hi and welcome to my blog! I am back with another way to use those paper scraps that we all have laying around.

I cut strips of scrap paper and used them for a background. I stamped the car right on top of the layers, filling in some areas with a marker. The car stamp is a Tim Holtz stamp and the saying is from Just For Fun Stamps.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Get out those scraps and see what you can do with them today.  I hope you have a great day!

Water's Edge

Hi and welcome to my blog. Today I am showing a card I made using the Penny Black Cat's Tales stamp.

I love making background techniques and I have bags full of different backgrounds that I have made over the years. This is a very old background I made where I used shimmery inks and smooshed the glossy paper into the inks. I thought this background went very well with the cattails. Sequins were added for interest.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

Lavender and Blue

Hi and welcome to my blog! Today I am showing a butterfly card using the colors lavender and blue.

I stamped a light blue background using the Italian Poetry Background stamp from Hero Arts. I adhered the blue lattice die cut over the background. The butterfly stamp is from BoBunny. It was stamped onto a background made from Twinkling H2Os and fussy cut. Lavender and blue handmade flowers were added to the bottom of the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Patterened Paper #17

Hi and welcome to my blog. I want to show you another card that I made with my paper scraps.

I made banners from strips of patterned papers, sponged Distress Gathered Twigs ink around each one and adhered them across the top of the card. I stamped the bird from Royal King, also using Distress inks, and cut it out using the Quickutz scallop circle die. The die was also sponged with the Distress ink and pop dotted to the card. The Tweet Tweet saying is from Just For Fun Stamps and the Hello is a Stampendous Stamp.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

Patterned Paper #16

Hi and welcome to my blog. We have come to the end of Summer and the kids are back in school here! Where did Summer go? It still feels like Summer so I used this cute penguin, wearing his wave swim trunks, on my card today. I would love a bite of his popsicle, LOL!

I found another way to use up my patterned paper scraps. I used a one inch circle punch to punch out circles from various patterned paper scraps. I made a border with them on the bottom half of the card. I first placed wide double sided tape at the bottom of the card and laid the circles on top. This made the placements of the circles much easier. The image and saying (unknown) were pop dotted to the card. The stitched circle die is from Gina Marie.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day and stay cool!

Clean and Simple

Hi and welcome to my blog. I hope you are keeping cool. It has been so hot here!

Today I want to show you a clean and simple card I made. I have a hard time making clean and simple cards because I want to fill up all the space!

I used an acrylic stamping block to stamp the pink background for the Cat's Pajamas image. I used Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink. The saying is from Stampendous. Enamel dots were added for interest.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day! Keep cool!
