Handmade Background #13

Hi Everyone! Welcome to my blog. Once again I am back with a handmade background card. There are a lot of ways to use a gelli plate, but I had never tried using markers on a gelli plate before. This background was made using markers on a gelli plate and I love the look!

Stamps:  Boatyard - Art Impressions, Wavy Ball - Rubber Nature
Markers: Tombow

I used my small rectangle gelli plate and swiped blue and purple colors onto the gelli plate, using the side of the brush nibs. I spritzed the gelli plate a little with water so that the colors blended better. I then stamped the wavy ball stamp three times in a row. This lifted off some of the color and left this neat background. I stamped the image over the background in a dark blue ink. I wanted to bring out the banks at the left, so I used my watercolor pen to blend the colors a little. I like that there is still a pattern there.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!
