Stand Up Card

Hi Everyone! I hope you are having a good day. This afternoon we had some showers that we really needed. It is fitting then that my card has a "rainy" image on it! I made this stand up card that Joan at Joan's Touch demoed on her blog. I have never made one of these before and I enjoyed making it. The challenge on her blog is to make one of these type cards. You basically cut out most of the image and fold back the card so that it stands on its own. You can see how to make it here. The card folds flat so that you can send it nicely in an envelope.

I made some roses to add to the card. Here is a close up. The leaf die is from Memory Box and the butterfly die is from Cheery Lynn.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope your day is wonderful!

This card is so gorgeous. I love the way you created it...Did you use a craft knife? You are very good with wielding that knife it you did!!!

The details are so pretty and love that the butterfly is flying sort of off the page. Can't corral a beautiful butterfly!

Yes, I used a craft knife which isn't the thing I love to do! LOL!

Your card is so adorable! Stamps don't have to be used on flat paper, it just pops right off the paper! Love it!
