Love Is In The Air
The theme for the Just Right Challenge is Love Is In The Air. This is my card for the challenge. I used the Just Right Follow Your Heart oval. Behind this saying I used the Fleur de Lis Spellbinders die and brushed it with rose ink. The decorative paper is from DCWV. I also punched out the hearts from this paper. I finished the card with a lace bow and silk rose. You can click here to see the challenge -- http://justritestampers.typepad.com/

Gift Card Holders
Here are the gift card holders I mentioned a few days ago. I used a scalloped nesties for these and folded them toward the front. They didn't quite meet in the middle, so I used a Spellbinders label die to cover the front. These are very easy and fun to decorate!
Tag You're It!
Hi! I hope everyone has had a good week. I have been working on some challenges. This card will be entered into the Cat's Pajamas and Cutllebug Spot challenges. At Cat's Pajamas we had a color challenge. The colors are red, black, kraft or white with yellow. I used black color core card stock for my background, ran it through the paisley cuttlebug folder and sanded it so the yellow would should through. In the Cuttlebug Spot challenge they are still doing inspiration challenges. This week we were to make a card inspired by a child's game. I chose Tag. It seems like every child in school has played that. I remember playing it a lot! You can see the challenges here - http://dancinginpajamas.blogspot.com/ http://thecuttlebugspot.blogspot.com/

Card Holder Instructions and Tea Light Cake
Hi Everyone!
I hope you are having a good week. We had our stamp club last night and I really enjoyed it as usual. What's better than a girl's night out, stamping and learning new things right? First of all here are instructions for my card holders below. These are real easy to make. I made 4 cards per holder, but I think 6 can fit in as well. You can click on the picture to see the measurements better.
Last night we made these cute little tea light cakes. These are so cute for a birthday gift or as a little favor at each person's seat at the table! Thanks, Marie, for showing us how to make these. We used a standard tea light, cut a strip of decorative paper 5" x 3/4" to wrap around the tea light. I used a scalloped punch by Stampin' Up for the top and bottom of the tea light. You can also use a scalloped die cut. A Martha Stewart border punch was used as "icing" around the "cake". Then decorate the top the way you want. I glue dotted the bottom scallop to the bottom of the tea light on one side so that I could flip down the other side in order to turn on the little switch. We also made cute little gift card holders that I will upload tomorrow. So stayed tuned!

Love is in the Air
Judikins has taken over the Posh Impression stamps and the Posh board is up and running again! The contest for this month is Valentines and we are to use teal, purple and silver. These colors go so well together, but I rarely use them. I need to use this color combination more often! I had this neat teal, swirl paper and layered it over purple card stock. I used a Heartfelt Creations die and ran silver ribbon around the edges. The heart stamps are from a Posh Impressions double up set. How Much Is That Doggie?
Well, I have had fun in the snow. We had 6 inches yesterday and it isn't going away anytime soon because it is very cold! We rarely see snow in SC, so this is really neat! I saw an SUV pulling kids in a canoe in front of our house! What fun! Okay, enough about snow. This card is being entered into 2 challenges. At the Cuttlebug Spot we are to make a card inspired by a song. My song is -- How Much is That Doggie in the Window? That was a song from my childhood. That will date me for sure! Then at Cat's Pajamas we are to use ribbon in a different way, so I braided my ribbon. You can see the challenges by clicking here --

A Few Ramblings
I just got back from a fun weekend, stamping with fellow stampers. I enjoyed every minute! We have 6 inches of snow right now and it looks like we will have much more! This is a BIG event for us here in South Carolina! I have had birds at my feeder all morning. I love watching them. Needless to say, this weekend has been exciting. Guess I will go out to make a snowman sometime today. Where is that sled?????

Up To Mischief
I will be going to a stamping event this weekend, so I am posting my last challenge before I go! That is why I have posted 2 today. At the Cuttlebug Spot the challenge is to be inspired by a book. I went really quirky and chose Br'er Rabbit! I had to tell the story of Br'er Rabbit and the Brier Patch in speech class in college and I had a lot of fun with it. You never know what trouble Br'er Rabbit will get into. Don't these bunnies look like they are up to mischief? This card was so much fun to make. I like going outside of the box now and then! Sassy Cat's
I love this Cat's Pajamas cat! This week's challenge is "inspiration". We were to be inspired by a hat. You can see it here --http://dancinginpajamas.blogspot.com/. I went with the colors, stripes, and flowers. This was fun to make!

All Mixed Up
Today I am showing a card I made called All Mixed Up. I saw this about a month ago online. It is easier than it looks and I had a fun time making it! All you need is 3 pieces of white card stock measured 4 1/4 x 5 1/4 for the inside of the card. Score each piece the long way at 1/4 inch. Then cut each card into 3 pieces up to the score line at 1 1/2" each. Then have fun stamping the images on each section and color. Decorate the outside as you please!
