Tis The Season

Hi and welcome to my blog. I want to show you a fun card I made using this cute snowman from Just For Fun Stamps. Doesn't he look jolly?

I made the background by cutting a strip of fun foam, adhering it to an acrylic block and stamping it in various angles using oxide inks. I used a dotted swiss embossing folder at the top and bottom of the card to add interest. I colored the snowman using alcohol markers, fussy cut him and added him to the card. The saying is from a Die Versions die. I also added 3 sticker snowflakes and hot pink rhinestones.

This month the challenge is to make any holiday card. I hope you will join us and you might win a gift certificate to the store!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a jolly day!

Flourish Wreath

Hi! Welcome to my blog. I hope all you mothers had a great Mother's Day. I sure did. My boys pulled all the stops! We had a great day together.

Recently I was playing with the wreath builder template using the Just For Fun  Flourish from the Stamptangle Cube. This is the card I made with it.

You can see how this wreath builder system works by looking up wreath builder on line. There are several different videos that show how to use it. I just love how this stamp works so well with it. The saying is from the Sentiments 3 unmounted sheet.

I used blue and green Oxide inks on my stamp and alternated the colors as I went around.

Remember that Just For Fun has a challenge going on. We would love for you to join in. You can see all the details here.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Shabby Chic #2

Hi and welcome to my blog. I hope the New Year has started off well for you. Here is my second shabby chic card in my series. I have had the snowflake die from Alina Craft for awhile and this is the first time I used it. I cut it from white glitter card stock. It was placed behind the image that I stamped and cut out using the Spellbinders Small Oval die. I edged the die using silver embossing powder. To finish off the image I added clear Stickles glitter in several areas. I found the tag in my stash and also edged it with silver embossing powder. The patterned paper also came from my stash of scraps.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you have a blessed New Year!

JFF January Challenge

Happy New Year Everyone! I hope this will be your best year ever! As I get older each year goes by faster. I do not know where 2017 went! I want to show you a card I made for the Just For Fun challenge. We have a great challenge to start off the New Year. The challenge is to use blue, purple and silver on your card. These are such wonderful winter colors. I hope you will join us in the challenge and you might even win a gift certificate to the store!

I made the background on this card by patting blue and purple Oxide inks on my craft sheet, spritzing with water and dragging the card through the inks. Once dry, I spritzed some water over the background to add some interest. Next I laid a stencil over the background and used white matte embossing paste. I then sprinkled silver embossing powder over the paste and heat set it. I stamped a new Just For Fun stamp called Silhouette Pines. I used Versa Mark ink and added purple embossing powder and heat set it. The saying is from the Sentiments 3 unmounted sheet.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a great start to your new year!

Reindeer Greetings

Hi and welcome to my blog. Have you gotten in the Christmas spirit yet? We had a surprise snow here in South Carolina over the weekend and it certainly put me in the Christmas spirit! We hardly ever get snow. We got about 3 inches. I want to show you a Christmas card I made. I am trying to do more shabby chic cards and I think this one qualifies.

I made the background by using a snowflake embossing folder and swiping a few colors of Distress inks over the raised areas. I stamped the deer (unknown) using Walnut Stain Oxide ink and cut it out with the Gina Marrie Stitched Circle die. The frame for the deer was made by using a Martha Stewart corner punch. I added some "greenery" at the top made from blue card stock using the Impression Obessesion Greenery die. The snowflake is also a die (unknown) and I added clear stickles glitter to it as you can see in the picture below. I cut a tag using a cuttlebug die and embossed the saying with white embossing powder.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Have a blessed Christmas season!

Happy Thanksgiving

Hi! Welcome to my blog. I just love this time of year with all the wonderful colors and scents. I want to show you a Thanksgiving card I made using a brand new Just For Fun stamp! It is called Harvest Bounty and you can find it here.

For the background I used the Just For Fun Basket Weave stamp. I stamped the cornucopia on an Oxide inked background, fussy cut it and pop dotted it to the card. I added ribbon, a bow and a leaf embellishment. The saying is from the Sentiments 1 unmounted sheet.

Come join the fun challenge we are having this month. We would love to see your wonderful creations!

Every Day is a Gift

Hello and welcome to my blog! I hope you are having a good day. Well, it is certainly beach weather, so I have a beach card to show you where I used the new Oxide Distress inks for the background.

I swiped yellow, green and blue colors directly on the card using the Oxide ink pads. I then spritzed the top of the card with water and let the water run down the card to blend the colors. I stamped the new Just For Fun stamp called Relaxing in the Sand on top and colored using my Zig markers. The saying is from the Sentiments 3 unmounted stamp sheet. I paper pieced the sun and added clear sparkle embossing powder to it for shimmer. You can see the sparkle better in the picture below.

You still have a few days left to join the Just For Fun challenge for this month. We would love to see your creations and you might even win a gift certificate to the store!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Remember every day is a gift and I hope you will truly have a great day!
