I chose to follow the option for this challenge and watercolored my image using Distress inks and a water brush. I also flicked some color across the card for interest and finished it off with some sequins.

 Hello and welcome to my blog. I purchased a tropical bird stamp set from Stampendous recently and I thought this parrot would look great against this jungle looking background die. I cut the die from an alcohol inked background that I had foiled. The parrot was colored and fussy cut to add to the card.

I found this fun background in my stash where I had inked up the background with Salty Ocean Distress oxide ink. I then placed a stencil over it, patted my Versa Mark ink pad over it and then embossed with clear embossing powder. I then sponged some Wilted Violet oxide ink over the stenciled area and wiped off the excess ink. I paper pieced the ornament on this new stamp using purple foil paper. You can see I am working on my Christmas cards! Never too early to start!

I love polkadots so I found this pink polkadot paper to use on my card today. I also used this brand new stamp and I paper pieced the cup! I added some splash stickers in my stash to use where the mousey's spoon "oars" are splashing in the water.
