Mason Jar Flowers

Hi and welcome to my blog. Today I am showing a card I made using a stamp and die set from Stampendous. I stamped and die cut the jar from acetate and colored on the back side using Sharpie markers. The flowers were colored using Distress Oxide inks, cut out with a die and adhered to the card. I would like to enter this card into the Simon Says Wednesday Anything Goes challenge. They are showcasing Stampendous stampes this week! I would also like to enter this card in The Cut It Up challenge - April Showers Bring may Flowers.

Punches Series #8

Hello and welcome to my blog. I am back with another card for my punches series. Today I used a single punch from EK Success where when you punch the butterfly the wings pop up. I punched three in a row on the patterned paper border. I stamped the flower on vellum and embossed it with white embossing powder. I colored it on the back side with alcohol markers and fussy cut it.

I make Christmas cards all during the year so that I won't be crunched for time close to Christmas. I am not a fan of sewing anything, but as I was going through some of my drawers recently, I found some cards where you sew around the edges. I bought these many years ago and I think I only used one in the pack of three. I decided to use another one and used some green embroidery thread to sew around the edges of this card. I colored the image using colored pencils and Gamsol. I also used a new stamp! What a sweet place for these meeces to take a nice nap.

I am using one of the brand new stamps today. Isn't this stamp cute? But of course all the House Mouse stamps are cute! 😀 I used faux stitched ovals on my card because I do not like to sew. I used a marker to go along the edge of the white oval so that the "stitching" stands out more.

Punches Series #7

Hi and welcome to my blog. I am sharing another card that I made using punches. I used 3 punches in a set to make a flower. The flower is used on the card to serve as a latch to hold the flap down. I also used a leaf punch to add the leaves to the flower.

Bio.

I have been drawing since a child and studied graphics at College many years ago, I now work as a Medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4yrs ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but I’m afraid I got the bug! My daughter preferred scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with like minded people.

I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not find what I wanted so I started to draw myself.

This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back, I love thinking of new images, and its just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful works of art. Long may it continue!
