Christmas Tag

Hi Everyone! I know many of us are scrambling around getting Christmas things done. The outside of my house has decorations, but we still need to get out the Christmas tree. I went shopping today at our annual Holiday Fair and boy that will put you in the holiday spirit! I came home with a trunk full of items! I want to share a Christmas tag I made yesterday. I used a piece of clear acetate, ran it through a snowflake embossing folder, then dabbed Picket Fence ink on the indented side of each snowflake. I let the ink dry some and then wiped the excess off and the white ink stayed in the indented areas. I added the embossed acetate piece over a blue sprayed background and stitched around the edges.

The deer is a Tim Holtz Sizzix die and the lamp post was cut using an svg cutting file. I WON an eclips 2 die cutter a few months back! What a fun surprise! I have really enjoyed using it so far. The snowflake is a foam sticker that I added Stickle's glitter to.

To the bottom I added Moon Rise Glitter Tinsel from Sparkle N Sprinkle! Don't you just love the shimmer?

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas season!

Down On The Farm

Hi Everyone! I hope you are having a good day. I want to show you another card I made with the brand new Farm Sweet Farm stamp set 652 from Sparkle N Sprinkle. When rummaging through my stacks of paper I found the perfect background paper to go with it too! At the top of the patterned paper I accented the sky with Fascination glitter G1030. I also used Waterscape glitter G1108 in areas on the trees.

I paper pieced the barn and silo and used Silver Detail embossing powder EP257 on the silo roof. Yellow Gold Glitter Tinsel GT3005 was used for the hay in the barn loft. Sparkling Sands Sparkle N Soft SS118 was used on the horse for texture. I used Copper Flame embossing powder EP453 on the fence. Copper Flame is one of my favorite embossing powders.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!

12 Tags of 2013 -- March

Hi Everyone! I hope you have been enjoying your weekend. It has been pretty chilly here, but mostly sunny. I am looking forward to Spring. Tim Holtz's tag challenge for March is all about Spring. You can see his demo here.  I always look forward each month for the new tag that Tim will show, and what technique he will teach. The sparkle on the egg cutout is courtesy of Sparkle N Sprinkle. I used Moon Rise Glitter Tinsel. It is white -- semi-transparent, so it picked up the colors from the paper behind it! Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful week ahead!
