Tags of 2014 -- July

Hi Everyone! I hope you are having a good day. I want to share the tag I made that was inspired by Tim Holtz's July tag. He used a sea theme and I decided it was time for me to get out some of my sea crafting supplies and work with them too! You can see Tim's demo here. I enjoyed embossing the piece of plastic to place over the Distress ink background for a different look.

I added sand and small seashell Mudd Puddles to the bottom. The large seashells are dies that I added Clear Rock Candy Distress glitter to. The clam shell was punched and given to me by my good friend. I love the patterned paper it was punched from!

I used Diamond Glaze on the angel fish. As usual I had a fun time making this tag. Tim always gives much inspiration each month!

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a great day!

Give Your Imagination Wings

Hi Everyone! Welcome to my blog. I have had such fun playing with stencil "printing" this week. I have made many backgrounds and I chose Tim Holt's Bubble stencil for the background on my tag. To make the background you use several colors of Distress ink and swipe them on the back of the stencil, spritz the colors with water and lay your card stock over this. You end up with a beautiful background! You can see Tim's demo here.

I used some recycled items on my tag. The butterfly was stamped on a piece of plastic and Mountain Mist velvet glitter from Sparkle N Sprinkle was glued to the back to make the butterfly sparkle!

I made a rose out of a scrap of light patterned paper to add to the bow at the top.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope your day is filled with good things!
